“Our first time visiting Slaton, we stopped here for dinner back in 2010. Right after dinner, we got engaged. We were so thrilled to revisit that spot this year. So glad to see this restaurant is still thriving. The perfect little place to fill your belly. Service was top notch, and we can't wait for our next West Texas adventure back to this cozy little establishment.”

“The manager here is a down to earth, family kind of guy. He educated us on the buildings & the process to have one delivered on our property. Simple process (straightforward deal) & nice quality buildings. Update 8/2019: We ended up getting an awesome red barn 16x10 from his lot. We do think its pretty great! Has a metal roof with high quality throughout, substantial doors. Has lofts & is solid. Has added to the value of our property & we no longer are paying the storage fee for a storage we had for over 10 years! The delivery guy in our case was a father son team & were able to get it in a smaller space using some awesome equipment. Pros... Thanks!”

“Very quiet and cozy paradise escape from the daily stress. The residents that live there were very helpful in finding all the extra curricular fun i needed and at the right price!!If you’re looking for a place that turns the other cheek while you perform those not so legal activities this is the best place. Oh and ask for Tiara she will make it a night to remember. Be back soon. Came back last night for some more fun. Service is great and beds are so comfy. I got the 2 for 1 private show and left me speechless. Highly recommend you stay here.”

“Easy access from highway. Though its a old property but the room was good. My wife checked everything and it was clean. Stayed for the weekend and was able to park in front of room. Very quiet place. They are still remodeling the place from what I was told by the workers there”

“The Liney Moon was PERFECT! The space was so clean, spacious, and beautiful. The host was so clear with communication and was checking everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend this property. I was nervous with 40 people staying here but EVERYONE was so happy with their rooms and the common space. I hope to come back in the future!”

“It is our first time staying at an RV park because we are new to the fifth wheel living, we are glad to have chosen this location because there have been 0 issues. The staff are all very friendly. One of the guys with the security hat was amazing at helping my husband backup his first time into a lot. Very patient with him and made it less stress. The RV park feels safe during the day and night. It is easy to pay your monthly bill at the front office. They are great at sorting everyone’s mail. The trash pickup service is great. They are amazing at keeping the grounds clean. The pool area is clean every time we’ve gone. The laundry rooms are cleaned, I do think some machines may need replacing soon. Everyone has been good at picking up after their pets when walking around. No noise complaints. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a spot.”

“The GOOD LIFE, indeed. I can’t think of a more perfect name for La Vida Buena Acres, a peaceful, pastoral paradise, nestled midway between Dallas and Waco. This tranquil retreat is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city living, reminding you to slow down, breathe in the fresh country air, and cherish the simplicity and beauty of mother nature. Shanna and Rick have truly poured their heart and soul into this farm, and it shows. Start your day off with some coffee on your private patio while soaking in the morning sun, sounds, and beautiful views. You will likely be greeted by their sweet and loving farm dog, El Guapo, who will serve as your guide during your stay. Next, make your way to the chicken coop, with El Guapo leading the way, to feed the chickens and pick out some farm fresh eggs. Swing by the main house to grab some incredible, locally sourced LVB breakfast sausage and have yourself a literal farm-to-table breakfast. After you are throughly nourished with the freshest, most organic food, the day is yours to explore the rest of the farm. While meeting the pigs was definitely entertaining, the highlight for me was watching the sheep and lambs frolic and play. I could have sat with them all day! Once you’ve finished exploring the grounds, settle in to your charming casita. A secluded sanctuary for rest and relaxation, the casita comes complete with all the amenities, including a full bath, kitchen, flat screen, and Wi-Fi (for those remote workers who can’t completely disconnect) and of course A/C! I was fortunate enough to have my hosts prepare a Michelin-star worthy dinner for me that night. Mouth-watering carnitas tacos (probably the best I have ever had and i have eaten a lot of tacos living in Austin!) lovingly prepared by Rick and provided by their own LVB pigs. Coupled with Shanna’s Frijoles Magnificas de LVBA, the most amazing barracho beans—which were also infused with tender, juicy LVB hamhocks—this meal was truly spectacular. I was in hog heaven and slept like a baby that night. I should add that all of their produce is available for purchase at an extremely good price. They sent me home with two hamhocks and a picnic roast. If you’re lucky, they might give you the recipes as well. The care, comfort, and warmth of genuine hospitality is what sets LVB apart. Shanna and Rick are the most impeccable, hospitable hosts. You will leave feeling relaxed and recharged. I cannot wait for my next visit to LVB Acres!”

“I have been living the “camper life” for about 7 years due to my work and have lived in many camp sites throughout MT, OK, KS, and TX. Old Town RV park gives you some good old fashioned neighborly feel and experience! I was made to feel like a part of a family from the very first day of moving into My space(#9) I felt comfortable and was confident that my belongings were secure in my absence. I just can’t say enough about how well I was treated by everyone there. Susan and Ron are Gracious host. Thank You Guys so much.. I will miss all of you and pray my next stop will be equally as enjoyable!!”

“The park is very clean, safe, and "charming" with guinea chicks, turkeys, and deer that appear from time to time. They offer great daily or weekly prices and offer full hookup (water, sewer, electricity). The owners are friendly and extremely helpful... great people! The other campers were also friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful and restful stay. It's also close to Bandera, a cute, western themed town. We would definitely stay here again when in town.”

“First trip here we were sold and going to try and get on the waiting list to get an annual spot. Owner and staff super nice and place is well maintained. The weekend were there was really slow but I get the feel it's a family place. Good river access from most spots. Boat ramp also available on site. 5 - 10 minute boat ride from Hamm Creek Park so you could have people there and shuttle between the two. Highly recommend. Locked gate access and you must call if your not an annual user to see the property. On site RV and boat storage if you are a annual user and want to store your equipment there. Adding to my first review. We went back for Memorial Day weekend to tent camp this time. First the staff was super nice and helpful again. Can't say enough good things about them. The tent spots were large enough for several tents with plenty of shade. There were clean restrooms provided, no showers. Good amount of firewood delivered to your campsite for 30$. Highly recommend this place.”

“This was our 1st time visiting Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park and it was the perfect family vacation for our 10 month old and 4 yr old! We enjoyed the Waterpark and activities the most. Having the on-site restaurant was nice and convenient. The gift shop had reasonably priced souvenirs and Zack was definitely the friendliest staff on site! We stayed in a lodge room, and it wasn't bad! My only complaint is that the walls are thin and the picnic benches out front weren't usable, completely worn down, it's not safe to sit on them! Jesus Christ please replace them management.”

“I put together a pre wedding trip here bachelor/Bachelorette trip and we had an amazing time. The house was absolutely beautiful, Well taken care of. The owners where super nice and easy going. This house is in a neighborhood with neighbors but they didn't bother us, even being out on the deck late at night. We used the BBQ pit to smoke some chicken on which worked great as well. There's a tube company walking distance from the house so that was convenient as well.”
