“I’ve been a resident here for two years now and its been an amazing experience. The lofts are all industrial. Brick walls and would floors with a ton of natural lighting. The staff is all friendly and super helpful. As far as location this is one of the best places you can be. Walking distance from HEB and the riverwalk. Quiet area and safe yet still in downtown. Highly recommend to live in.”

“My friend families and mine have been staying at the Lodge every forth of July for the past 3 years. There are 18 of us total and the lodge has plenty of room for us all. We book a year in advance to be sure to get our date. We love staying at the Lodge, it's close to downtown and the water. We can hang out outside and no be affriad to make a little noise. They have a fire pit, volleyball net, basketball goal, and a large parking are with a fish cleaning station. What more could you ask for beside affordable rate, and you guest it, they have that too.”

“My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a 3 night stay in the Chapel and it was outstanding. Belinda and Steve are wonderful hosts, and we fully intend to go stay with them again. Belinda's cooking was superb and she managed our 1 dairy-free and 1 gluten-free diets wonderfully. The property is beautiful and there are plenty of spaces to slow down, and breathe in the creation around you. There is certainly rest to be had here and we recommend to go and get some.”

You can’t beat the rates and the amenities (laundry included for long term stays, WI-FI //strong connection: I worked remotely here everyday// S P A C I O U S lots w/picnic table and fire ring, private restroom and hot shower, kid and pet friendly) Every single person we met here was so down to earth, fun and just good people. “You have to rate the motel by what it is. this is a much older style motel. park outside your door. Its not a luxury accommodation. we stayed here as the price was decent, and it was where we were at that evening. Just didn't feel like driving over to Gainesville or farther. Room was clean for the most part. Newer hard surface floor in good shape, I'm sure replaced carpet. Many other items are dated and show years of use - but clean. The reason I knocked it down was the coffee pot had old coffee in it. I cleaned it myself (as I was doing anyway because it always seems safer to do it even when looking clean)”

“We used the Rec hall for a family reunion. It’s a really nice facility. We used it several years ago, and now it’s been remodeled. They did an awesome job on it. First class kitchen, ice machine, nice, clean restrooms. It’s within a real nice RV Park as well. Good fishing near by, as well as a couple of 1st class seafood restaurants.”

“Great open spot about 20 minutes to Lubbock. Full hook ups - everything worked as it should and management was extremely easy to work with. We stayed an extra night to visit with family in town because of convenience. Appears to have several residents that work locally but all were friendly. They charge extra to use a CC, cash is cheaper (just FYI).”

“My husband and I were fortunate enough to enjoy an extended stay at the Pelican House. Had the best of amenities: the TX Winter, the friendly community, the well stocked & nicely furnished home (bed is dreamy comfy) and All close to the Bay! Which provides it's own sources of recreation along with the wonderful breezes we enjoyed on the large screened porch! My husband is handicapped so with all these amenities plus the accessibility at the Pelican House, we instantly fell in love with the place. Having use of the Golf Cart was great too, just strapped on the Transport Chair for relaxing rolls on the Pier. Coastal Birds are amazing! All this combined with having the support of A Hostess with the Mostest, Zio and her most reliable partner, Wes. They truly offer the best of both worlds. I cannot adequately express the gratitude for their kindness and genuine interest in our vacation enjoyment. We loved our stay and plan to return, mostly because we feel certain we would be disappointed anywhere else.”
