“Stayed here in our 35 ft motorhome towing a Jeep. It is a quiet place right on Turtle Bayou and run by the sweetest couple. The grounds are impeccable and they have a pier if you like to fish. The bathrooms were incredibly nice! Brand new and resemble a high end hotel (no lie)! Beautiful granite countertops, roomy showers with beautiful new tile (not plastic showers) and spotless!! We stopped here passing on our way home from Florida and it was the perfect spot. ????”

“Great for the price. Hotel rooms are in the inside of the property so there is not individual doors leading outside. Room was clean and the TV worked. Shower and towels were clean. Staff is very friendly and the parking lot is well lit. The only downside is it is kind of a seedy location for a motel with bars on the windows of some of the surrounding property. I like to see them have a fence around the parking area for added security.”

“The location is tucked away and surrounded by beautiful trees. People here are kind and caring towards each other, like a family. When humans are stripped of the material items like fancy jewels and clothes, it forces you to “see” one another as a life form. More of the REAL you, not the things we use to disguise and create an appearance. It’s humbling! Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure, but if you’re able to set modesty and being self-conscious aside for a bit, a place like this will help you see life with a different view/perspective. People tend to be more REAL! It’s not a fancy facility, but it’s clean and quiet. There’s a small clothing optional cafe to get some home cooked (and reasonably priced) foods. Hits the spot pool side on a hot summer day! Perfect if you’re wanting to avoid tan lines :)”

“Sea world is not to far from the hotel so it wasn’t a bad drive going and coming from sea world. The hotel is well worth the price especially considering we didn’t spend much time in our rooms, we pretty much just slept and showered in it. The hotel location is not to far from a shopping plaza that has a great selections of stores and food places. The hotel breakfast is pretty good they had a great selection for my whole family and decent coffee.The hotel is under re modeling so I can’t wait to go back to see the new suits.”

“We lived at Shadyhaven for 2 wonderful years, beautiful sites. Lots of trees and yard is always maintained. Great if you have pets. Owners are awesome and very helpful with everything and anything. FREE laundry facilities always kept clean. All utilities included in fees. We would still be there had we not moved out of San Antonio.”

“Fabulous place. I am a lifetime Titanium member at Marriott with over 1000 nights in (mostly) Starwood and some Marriott properties. My family and I stayed here and were very pleased with every aspect of the hotel. The check-in process quick and smooth, the breakfast above average for the hotel classification, excellent and friendly staff and the ability to use the amazing gym just down the hill from the hotel. You can tell everyone there takes great pride in their hotel and profession and it shows. We finally found OUR hotel whenever we go to San Antonio (which is quite frequent).”
