“I love the living environment here the manager here is so respectful and dependable. She does an awesome job and the trailer park is so quiet and it’s also the best place to raise a family. There are so many nice things about Kimberly the manager.”

“Older property but in immaculate condition. Loved our stay. Great parking for a truck and trailer. Breakfast was pretty standard but still very good. Room was dated but still very tidy and comfortable. I've been in hotels only a year or two old that weren't nearly as well kept. This will definitely be my default stay when I'm in the area.”

“We have been going to Double Barr at least a half dozen times a year for the past 5 years. Patsy and her team are always friendly, accommodating and provide information about what’s happening around the island. We only stay at Double Barr when visiting Port Aransas. The cottages are all a little different from each other and have everything you need for a short or long stay. The cottages are very reasonable in price and provide a little home away from home. You are just a short drive from the beach and have your own quiet space. Kitchen is stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. There a fridge, stove and space to cook. The cottages have window unit a/c and a wall heater for the winter. On season and off, Double Barr is a great time. It’s clean, dog friendly, no shared walls, and parking for 2 on property directly in front of your cottage. Patsy and her team are always around to help if you need anything. 10/10 will stay here again and again.”

“We actually stumbled across this gem when it popped up in my “resorts with lazy river” search results (because it’s about 200 yards from the Brazos River)! When I saw the pictures I fell in love so we booked it even though it wasn’t what we were initially looking for. I feel like we lucked out since they just opened and aren’t well known yet because I can’t imagine there will be many more weekends when there aren’t weddings booked because is the PERFECT wedding venue!! Our navigation did send us to the wrong place right down the road for some reason, but google maps on my phone directed us to the right place. The secluded area is a bonus in my opinion! Check in was easy as it is done virtually and you’re given a key code for your villa. The property is quiet, peaceful and pristine. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We walked the short walk to the river with our 2 boys and they played there for a while while I collected a few rocks. We cooled off in their magnificent pool. The villas are so charming. And the beds were so comfortable that my husband 100% unzipped the mattress pad this morning to see what brand they were! It was definitely the relaxation and recharge we all needed at the end of a 2 week road trip. I absolutely would recommend staying here.”

“I absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve stayed here 3 times. Twice for our annuals girl’s river trip and once when my husband and I got away. Darrell and his mom Margy are the kindest people. Darrell meets you when you arrive and they are so fun to sit and talk with. The rooms and beds are extremely cozy. This last trip we had 7 women so 5 of us stayed in Deer Haven. It’s the back cottage with a full kitchen. It was nice to sit on the back patio and I LOVED the VHS movies. The location is perfect. Close to the river, River Road Ice House and Gruene. The breakfast is fantastic and this is definitely are go to place in New Braunfels.”

“We spent HOURS here with our toddler and 6mo old. The workshop was magical and so fun and interactive for the kiddos. The carousel, train ride, and cotton candy were the biggest hits for our toddler, while baby stared wide-eyed at all the colorful lights. Really enjoyed that we were able to do things at our own pace and were able to visit all the spots/rides as many times as we wanted. Definitely plan to make this an annual stop! Bonus points for really nice, clean bathrooms.”

“Everyone was very nice and courteous. I stayed there for 5 nights for work and rested very well. Room was cleaned everyday I got back from work. Only bad this is turning left onto the main road traffic sucks there. I had to turn right and go make a u-turn a few times. Another thing is it would be nice if all the elevators were working only 1 of the 3 were operational which waiting for it to come back was inconvenient I'll be staying again July 10th through the 19th will update more after this stay.”

“This a great RV Park for a visit or long term. We'll kept property. Facilities were always clean. Beautiful grounds (lots of newly planted trees) Compared to some other places I've stayed, it doesn't feel crammed. I stayed there for several months. Management and staff were fantastic. The location was perfect for me. Close to everything I needed, but far enough from the freeway to avoid the noise. Because it is on the edge of the city, it can get a bit breezy. But the quiet rural feel more than makes up for it. The pool with deck is a great feature. The playground for little kids is nice, but not impressive. If you enjoy walking for enjoyment or exercise, you will love this place. The walking paths within and around the perimeter of the park are very nice.”

“It's been over 25yrs since I've been back to this park. It definitely does not look like the way I remember. The water was extremely low this time that there was only a small section for all the visitors to swim in. It was a bit depressing, but that's nature. Besides that, the restrooms were kept clean, and the park was overall clean. It's a good place for picnics, though. Come check them out for yourself.”
