“My husband and I had the privilege of being a guest this past weekend of Hattie's Place, Too. Our room was The Vin #1 which offered every amenity you could ever need along with the quiet and cozy atmosphere we needed. The owner Debra ensured that all of our needs were met above & beyond our expectations. I was glad to see that this room was equipped with a full kitchen, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, range and all of the pots & pans. You will live as if you are in your own apartment which is fantastic. Everything was clean and well maintained. We added The Anniversary package which we have no regrets because it was well done and absolutely worth it. Simply Beautiful. We will be back again. Thanks so much Debra for all of your hard work. “This is the second time I stay at this hotel with my family of five. The location is great. Our room had two king size beds, and a view of the ocean , room 306 on the third floor. I loved that there was a table by the window to view the water while the kids ate snacks. There was no lock for the restroom but no big issue, overall our room was great. Clean sheets, cold AC, blackout curtains.”

“We are most definitely enjoying our stay here. The only thing I would want them to fix is having cable in the bedrooms or DVD players, just so if you have kids. Other then that I really have enjoyed it here, it's super comfy. I will be back ( and bring my own DVD player) lol”

“Very convenient,it has the beach at front you just cross the street and you are there! The view I love it! Every room has it, the rooms look old style) Caribbean vibe but I don't mind that, the only complain was the tv we couldn't watch anything the signal was horrible. But you don't go to the beach for that ????”

“Awesome place to have a little getaway. Very accommodating for couples and families. The location is perfect and there is plenty to do on site and within walking distance. The free breakfast is all homemade and old school recipes. The staff is exceptional as well. Ill definitely return here for another weekend vacation. The rooms are nothing too fancy but they are clean and the staff makes you feel at home”

“My best friend and I stayed at Carr Mansion for a girls weekend a couple of weeks ago, and what a fabulous weekend it was! We were greeted upon arrival and shown to the Honeymoon room. The room along with the whole house was so charming! The main living spaces were warm and inviting with soft music in the background. Joellyn was the most gracious host. When we went down for happy hour she sat with us for a bit and chatted. We were laughing and sharing stories instantly. She has such beautiful way of making you feel like you’ve known her forever and like you are right at home. Both mornings she had coffee and fruit waiting for us when we woke up and then the most delicious pancake breakfast with sausage, bacon, fruit and mimosas! I wish every Sunday morning started out like that! I really can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Galveston. I can’t wait to go back soon!”

“I have passed this place on my way to work regularly and not given it a second thought. However it came to a special weekend I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed. I tried 2 rooms and both were spacious, clean, and unique. Mood lighting, clean floors, and a large shower. I can definitely see myself going back for another weekend alone with that special someone. So recommend you give it a go, ignore the cliche lighting of the area that makes it seem like a dime hotel. The staff is friendly even late at night and willing to talk to you about improving your visit. The only drawback I have is the beds are very stiff, but I can overlook that considering how well it is overall.”

“I booked with La Quinta originally. I went in to check in, and had the wrong date selected. The lady from La Quinta called the representative from Marriott Fairfield next door. We were greeted immediately by Margarita. She was so awesome and amazing. She went above and beyond for us. For this reason, we will come back. I definitely recommend staying here. “Albert at beginning check in is very helpful at evening shift front desk. Jackie Leal is awesome in mornings,very helpful even suggesting a great nail salon "Base Nail Salon" for my wife. The cleaning staff are truly amazing and polite so many smiling faces. They were short staffed but Anette and Mary stepped in from their other duties to pitch in our room #229 was always immaculate. 260 SE Military drive location is the best choice. This is our go to spot.”

“I am currently a resident of superlative senior care and have been for a year and a half The name is appropriate, except it is for most anyone in need of assistance. The facility is okay. The food is excellent. Perhaps more activities could be organized. What has really surprised me is the people skills and character of Diana Rodriguez. Many times I have watched in awe as she interacted with people. You can not wish for a nicer person. Because of this resident's and staff alike have come to love her as a friend. For assisted living, private pay, do not go anywhere else, just don't!”
