Only down fall is no extra parking for a family with two vehicles... and zero concrete to even think about a tiny walk area/porch... to walk to our front door.”

“We stayed here for two months this past winter in our small motor home. We absolutely enjoyed every minute! The office staff were always friendly and helpful; the maintenance staff polite and always kept the park and facilities in pristine condition. We found the sites to be level and wide even with our slide out. Concrete sites were wonderful especially with it being such a wet winter. Vehicle parking at each site is more than ample on each concrete site. Units in the long term section were well kept, residents friendly and children well behaved. We enjoyed the campfire during the evenings along with the view of the bayou, the long horn cattle and variety of birds. For those who enjoy kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing, this park is ideal. We were able to easily ride our bikes here and on the island and to local businesses. We are looking forward to returning next season and visiting our new found friends. Safe travels everyone!”

“The room was perfect! Front desk for the morning & Melissa-NightAudit where very nice! Breakfast Host- was very rude. Did not greet my family or me but did another couple. When I asked her for some picante sauce she said they had none,, then returned with some. I had to ask front desk if the sausage could be refilled..I was told to wait. Tip: Breakfast host should always ask how many in house guest they have so she can know how much to put out. And greet ALL GUEST we felt discriminated won't mention the other couples race. I'm not looking for any discount i have no problem paying a good room for my family. But I dislike for a hotel to charge a big amount and receive that low down service and especially when you are starting your morning off. Will return because everything was great”

“I do not understand these bad reviews. The La porte Americas Best Value in, it may seem like it could be dirty and old, but in fact, its immaculate. Not a bug, not even a spider web, or dust ball. Ive now stayed here 12 times, because the low prices, cleanliness, and simple surroundings, is usually whats important for traveler's. No hassle, no filth, housekeepers that dont harrass you in the mornings. They are always kind, accomodating, patient and really good at their job. This is for sure my go to place for now on.”
