“I visited Joshua Creek Ranch for my first time for a sporting clays tournament that was part of a school fundraiser. My friends and I had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful. Mind you, I can't speak for pricing since I was the guest of a friend, but the staff seemed professional and customer-service oriented. As a Texas license to carry instructor, I was pleased with the quality of the safety video and the staff's genuine effort to make sure everyone watched and gave it the attention it deserves. The video also served as a good explanation of the course and equipment. Speaking of equipment, the scantron system they use for scoring is fantastic. Tournament results take only as long as people turning in their scorecards and the results were immediately displayed on a large TV. Pretty cool! I stopped by the pro shop and it seemed pretty nice and decently stocked. I hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future. It doesn't seem fair that a bunch of negative reviews from what sounds like a wild wedding two years ago are dragging down this venue's reviews. Seems like some since-terminated staff may have unnecessarily escalated too quickly and made some rash decisions but, as a service member myself, just because you serve and traveled in from OCONUS doesn't mean you get a pass for breaking the rules and acting a fool which seems to have contributed greatly to the event going south.”

“This is a wonderful place to stay in Sanger. Out in the country near the lake where at night you can look up and see all the stars and planets as if they were sparkling diamonds on black velvet. But close enough to town for food and supplies. It's a very quiet and peaceful park with very large spaces and plenty of room between your neighbors. The spaces are long and wide enough that you could park 4 vehicles and your RV if you wanted to. Did I mention free washing and drying? Plus there is a huge open space/park type area with picnic tables near the washer/dryer room. Great place for your pets and yourself to unwind. Kim and her husband take great care of this park!! You could not meet better people. Ask Kim about the high speed internet that's available. Plus they only charge you the actual KWH electricity rate unlike other local places that jack up their rates sky high. I was one of the first to move in after the Sanger KOA shoved a knife in the back of the monthly renters and gave us a week to move out. That's a whole nother story. It was a pleasure staying at Rockin H RV Ranch and someone is going to get lucky getting my old spot. Thanks Kim !! See ya next time I'm in Texas.”

“Friendly staff and nice rooms. We had difficulty putting the blind down and maintenance came within minutes to fix it. The pool is nice and I like that it stays open a little later than other establishments. We swam on a Sunday and the pool wasn't filtering (it was on Saturday) so there were bugs and debris in it and the jacuzzi couldn't be turned on. There was no one available in the office to turn it on. There were plenty of people swimming that day so it should've been running. Otherwise everything else was fine.”

“We came here for a small day tour to see alpacas. And we were not disappointed! Lyn was a wonderful host and gave us a amazing tour of their ranch including alpacas, turkeys and goats. The cabins looked super cozy, and would love to stay there at some point. The handmade items in the gift shop were a class apart and of excellent quality. Highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to get a look at these awesome alpacas and/or spending a weekend at the beautiful cabins by the lake.”

“We had a wonderful and peaceful stay in the Valley View Cabin at Brazos House Retreat. The cabin was clean and comfy, with all the fixings for coffee. Our host even brought us some fresh eggs from their hens. We enjoyed petting the donkeys and a nice visit from their sweet dog. Time spent on the front porch in the morning gave us the perfect sunrise. The road to the cabin that we stayed in is gravel and a little steep reaching the top of the hill, so it would not be the best cabin choice for a low clearance vehicle. Thank you to the Myers for their hospitality.”

“We stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! We stayed in the Garden Room. It was super comfortable space, cutely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice coffee station and mini fridge. Everything was very clean. It was lovely having coffee and sitting out on the porch. There was also a hot tub that we used on the chilly nights - so fun to relax in and look at the stars. The inn is located on a beautiful, quiet property. Everything we wanted to go to was 15-20 minutes away, so it was well located. The owner of the inn was available for any questions we had. Can't recommend this place enough!”

“We have been coming here for family camp every summer for years! It’s hands down the most stress free way to do the beach with kids. They provide everything you need for beach; one wagon per family, set up shade and chairs, plus all the toys, surf boards and boogie boards you need. The food is amazing! There’s nothing better than walking off the beach and having an amazing meal ready for you. They took the best part of a beach vacation; the beach, and eliminated all the worst parts; cooking, waiting at restaurants, hauling all your stuff, etc. The programming in the evenings is fun too. We love to coordinate with friends and go together. Your kids will be talking about their time at family camp all year!”

“We were looking for a place convenient to our daughters house for the birth of our first grandchild. We found several choices in the area but after reading the many positive reviews online we decided to give Spring Branch RV a try. We stayed for a week and we were not disappointed, the staff, owners and residents were extremely welcoming and friendly. There is obvious pride in keeping the grounds and common areas looking nice. While we were there, small enhancements to landscaping (which was already quite nice) were being made. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The entertainment room off the laundry area was a great place to relax while doing laundry or just coming in the morning for a cup of coffee and sitting on the porch in and looking out at the Wonky play house area nestled in between the large oak tress (also there is a nice book exchange). Our dog enjoyed the dog park, and made a bee line to it every morning even though that is not normally his thing! The sites were level and easy for big rigs to maneuver. Though I was initially skeptical about the proximity to Highway 281, it did not turn out to be a problem. We generally stay in State or National parks and have stayed only few commercial parks, but this was far and away the best of those we have stayed in. Internet quality was the best I have ever had at any RV park. We will definitely be back.”

“We have taken all our felines to High Point Animal Clinic since 1990 and wouldn’t entrust them anyplace else. Dr. Liska and his team are very knowledgeable and always, kind, gentle, and compassionate toward our fur kids. You won’t be disappointed.”

“We had a clean room. It was inexpensive too. No breakfast included but would stay here again. The property was mellow & quiet, no rowdy guests or partying. Brandt in the front office was sweet, friendly, & helpful. I've worked in the customer service industry for 12 years & he is the poster child for what folks should be for top notch service. He deserves a raise! Thank you Rodeway Inn! We will certainly return! 🤗”

“Great little park with access to the lake amd several interesting dive sites. No day use and limited camp sites available keep the crowd level low. We booked campsite for weekend but only stayed during the day for dive site access. Campsites near the lake are nice for primitive camping but sites further back are lacking lake views/access from camp to lake. Not a big deal for us but if I was camping there I would try for a closer site. Restrooms are a pit toilet and the age is showing. Not gross, just old and in need of a touch up. Camp hosts were incredibly polite and helpful. All in all a cool place to hang out, swim, and dive.”

“Okay let me tell you about the Texas motel. I hear that they're janky people are mad because check out time and if you want to stay over you still have to check out blah blah blah. Well I went last night. And I thought to myself self what are you signing yourself up for one I don't like bugs two you're not going to get no sleep here you know everyone said how dirty it was, I'm glad I'm grown and can make my own assessments. The shock and disbelief that everybody had lied to me about this establishment because of the age of the hotel and the location that it's in,hurt. You should never judge a book by its cover because even if it is worn and torn it could still be a good book well I owe the Texas motel a great big apology because last night I got a good night's sleep really good and on top of that it was clean very clean kudos to the housekeepers . Not exactly sure who started that rumor but shame on them. Because they were clean it was clean it smells so good when I walked in that room.Thank you to the owners. Y'all are amazing. The extra hour of sleep only cost $10 but it was well worth it. I recommend them to anyone. And I figure it like this it's the people who stay at this establishment as guest customers have whatever you want to label them as they're the ones who make these places what they are if you don't want to go to a dirty motel don't trash it out don't tear it up be respectful pick up after yourself don't leave a mess don't bring a whole bunch of g*********** and drugs and everything else to the establishment treat everybody as you want to be treated. Happy Saturday everybody hope you have a great day.”
