“This park is operated by the Metropolitan Multi-Services Center and is great for kids, but Excellent for children that are begining to walk on their own or children with walking limitations. The center works with children with physical disabilities and offers much more than the park. But, the park includes relatively level, wide surfaces and ramps throughout the play ground to make it more accessible. The park includes some artificial shading, picnic tables, and has a rubber/cork floor. We didn't see the hours the park is open, but it's independent from the Center and is most likely open during daylight.”

“If you have kids this is one of the best parks around. Huge playground for with plenty for the kids my 4 year old has gone here for years and never wants to leave. It also has a great walking track around the entire complex for bikes dog walks or jogging. The path is wide enough passing people is never an issue. My only complaint is the playground area is the closest thing to the parking lot whith many ways for your kids to wonder off. I constantly feel I can't take my eyes off my kid when I am here.”

“Small but beautiful...Fresh planted produce and flowers that are tended to daily, always peaceful even when all the neighbors are out walk our beloved pets. The restaurant behind it is a hidden gem also. They have live music ranging from Mariachi to Gypsy Jazz and all in between. It great to see the community come out and volunteer the first Saturday of every month to keep this place beautiful.”

“Great dog park. Wash stations, water entry points, a few obstacles and plenty of room to run. Beware of some diuchebag carrying a small shovel. He likes to brag about hitting dogs who nip ( even playfully) at his small dog who he walks in the section for large dogs. I informed him if he hit my animals i would turn them loose on him and I havent had a problem.”

“I have now been too grisly pines three times. It is already like I am spending the weekend with family. Only of course this is family who I really enjoy haha. The owners are super friendly and kind and helpful and will do absolutely anything in their power to make your visit a pleasant one. The last weekend that I went there were a unique group of guys who I know had been looking for a spot where they would feel comfortable being themselves. Every one welcomed them with open arms and I know they are planning many more trips to the wonderful Grisly Pines. added 9-5-2018 I have now been to G.P. four times and it just gets better and better. There is a pretty large contingent who are permanent campers. How I do envy them! I made my reservation late and had to stay in the bunk house but even it was fun. There may be a better gay campground but I don't see how.”

“Great neighborhood activities like tennis and basketball courts. There are also two beautiful pools, one resort style and the other for lap swimming. Need to have an access card to use the pools.”

“My boys love City Park. You can walk to the baseball field park from the main park to check out the huge slides there. My boys like to stop and run around on the skate park on the way there if its empty. There are lots of open spaces if they want to play catch or run around. Bathrooms are a big plus. It would be nice if there was a larger covered picnic area by the park for birthday parties.”

“This is one of the nicest nature spots I found the only problem is so close to the Trinity River that every time we have a little bit of rain they close this place down and you can only get back to the entrance, and the water stays high so it stays closed maybe when it dries out you will be able to get back there there is an ice fishing dock a porta potty and some places to sit on the pier and have lunch or fish whichever you prefer it disrupt you help you in any way please give me a thumbs-up I would really appreciate that God bless you and have a wonderful day????”
