“I drove around the park while sightseeing in the Dallas area. There are few easy places to get great night horizon type photos for visitors not familiar with the area but this park has some potentially great vantage points. Free parking seems to be plentiful around the park. There is a playground area and room to walk/exercise while there.”

“Good views of the downtown skyline, lovely exercise. However, some concrete paths are dillapidated and worn. The Kudzu is overgrown in some areas.”

“Lots of green space for all ages. baseball field, indoor and outdoor basketball. tennis courts. bike rentals. picnic tables. playground. model trolley car. Noise from 45 is pretty loud but not deafening. houston ave is a bit buys but starts to get quiet at near the park. we stopped by looking for a place to eat our packed lunch but ended up staying for 2 hours to run around the playground and pretend to ride the trolley. the craziest part in the park description is that this place was originally built as a weekend retreat for houstonians trying to get out of downtown!”

“Went there for the German festival. Carnival type atmosphere with rides for the kids and a wide variety of vendors including food. Crowded but nice atmosphere with good security and friendly people. Enjoyed it other than a quick rain shower and would return to next festival in this area.”

“Very nice, new, and modern playground. Right at the center of Jordan ranch and definitely fun for the kids. My only wish is that there was a swing set, but I assume once Jordan Ranch is further developer a playground with swing set will be installed elsewhere.”

“Last of the Red Wolf Breed. According to the National and state wildlife experts the red wolf is extinct except for a couple of hundred that were trapped back in 1972. Well I'm here to tell you that I have some beautiful daytime video close of red Wolves and Cayotes so that you can see tyhe difference. Coougars too but in almost 30 years out here I have only seen them four times. Deer great big and fat. Too bad the area got populated. When I was out here by myself raising my two boys we shot a deer a season for meat. However I haven't shot one now in about 10 years. I just like to video the animals . Thank God that no one hunts these few thgousand acres.”

“Check In was fairly efficient, and went smooth. The grounds are well kept, clean, and patrolled by police. There are a lot of campers and everyone is friendly and having a good time. This was our first time camping here and we are going back before the season ends.”

“Very comfortable stay, with a beautiful view of pine trees all around. The campgrounds are well organized and offer a variety of types of camping. They offer tent areas, RV parks, log cabins, and a quiet area specifically for family oriented people. I felt safe and invited, and my stuff was never messed with. The general store at the front has all of your camping essentials. They even have a shower area.”

“Very peaceful place to enjoy with the kids or alone with a the company of a good book. Given that it is not far from DT and the Alamodome, a little more fun or a quick bite to eat pair well after a visit to this recently remodeled venue. BTW there is a basketball court for those needing to improve free-throw accuracy and plenty of open space for a yoga class outdoors. Enjoy!”
