“I noticed a review from Rebecca Hanks that has photos that indicate she fed an Alligator. That is highly illegal and will result in fines if caught. FYI feeding American Alligators in Texas is so stupid and now puts everyone in jeopardy. Alligators that are continually fed by people will approach humans now that put both species at risk. Great place to launch canoes or kayaks from and to WATCH nature.”

“Excellent pocket park for a mini nature walk. It's located behind a neighborhood making it a little difficult to spot the entrances to it from the street.”

“I definitely recommend Pecan Park in La Porte, Texas! This is a fantastic park with a playground, walkway throughout the area, restrooms, a concession stand, and several baseball fields. A parking lot is interesting between fields and other amenities inside of Pecan Park.”

“Awesome park with fantastic trails for mountain biking and road biking. There are some great hiking trails too through some beautiful scenery. It can get busy but there are plenty of parking spots available at various entrances to the trails. Great place to spend a day out on nature.”

“Nice park on the river side, lots of trees and benches, plenty of shade, the 2 kids playgrounds have covers so the kids are not directly under the sun, has bbq grills and power outlets on the cabin like structures. Called the park authority to report wasp nests on the kids playgrounds and the maintenance guy showed up in less than a hour to take care of the problem, "kudos" job well done.”

“Nice place to ride during the day. At night people let little kids drive and they don't pay attention to what is going on around them. Don't leave your rigs because other will steal them or stuff off of them.”

“WARNING: you need to have a K sticker to park here. It's not a public park. Every time we're here in a weekend I see vehicles getting towed. That said it's a wonderful party. Lots of great we'll maintained equipment for young kids to play on.”

“Nice quiet park! Lots of shade. It's hard to tell that there's a park/trail from the outside. From the outside, it just looks like a normal wooded area”

“I found this place by accident. A pleasant jewel in the inner city. You don’t have to leave the city to see some green and enjoy the outdoors. I love this place. Just bring mosquito repellent after the rains. This may have been my first visit but it definitely won't be my last.”
