Paloma Creek Dog Park

Address: 1501 Bluebird Dr, Little Elm, TX 75068, USA

Park

“We bring our pups here often; it’s a few blocks from where we live. There’s a fenced in area for large dogs separate from the one for small dogs. There are a couple of park benches placed under nice shade trees to relax. We have met several neighbors and their pups here-all lovely people and for the most part, the animals are well-behaved under the watchful eye of their owners. So convenient when they need to get out and burn off that excess energy-there is room to run and play fetch. The grass is kept pretty well manicured. The only thing I can think of that would make it so much nicer would be if it were lit, especially now since it gets dark so early! Thankful to have the and that it’s nearby.”

Oakbrook Park

Address: 8001 Woodstream Dr, Frisco, TX 75034, USA

Park

“The Oakbrook Park playground is great. My wife and I walk the trails around the park all of the time and we see people playing on the basketball courts and kids playing on the playground equipment. The park has a huge green space and a cool walking trail that walks behind a neighborhood. When my nieces and nephews come over to our house, we always take a walk to this park. Get out and enjoy the parks of Frisco.”

Canyon Lake Gorge

Address: 16029 S Access Rd, Canyon Lake, TX 78133, USA

Park

“We had a great morning heading out for a tour of the Canyon Lake Gorge today. Anna was our guide, and John was our Docent. They were absolutely wonderful! We learned so much about the 2002 flood, as well as all that was uncovered when the flood tore apart millions of years of rock to create the gorge. There is so much to see and learn. It’s a beautiful tour, and I highly recommend making a reservation. We signed up for the 3 hour tour, but since we were the only members on this tour it went a bit faster than the time they allow. When booking, take in consideration the heat and your endurance level. There are two shaded areas for breaks, one with a bathroom. We enjoyed every fossil, waterfall, and dinosaur footprint!”

“This Place is Beautiful!! I recommend come before Sun Up and sit at one of the many outdoor spaces filled with the millions of twinkling white lights everywhere as far as you can see. Watch as everyone and everything seems to awaken with beauty and purpose. I first came early one morning to ride the train into the city and had to wait because I rode in with my fiance. Now I go as often as I can. I'm in awe at how much there is to discover in this space. Restaurants, services, healthcare, music, outdoor festivities and much more. You can even make it your Home! There's a remarkable grocery store and market as well as city parks just steps outside your door. Id give more Stars if it were available!! Hope you take time to visit and find your own Peaceful Amazement that I continue to enjoy from time to time! You will not run out of new things to do and discover any time soon here at Cityline !!!!”

Warrior Creek RV

Address: S Texas State Hwy 121, Bonham, TX 75418, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“This place is really great, they've worked really hard to keep a park like natural setting: very shaded with a lot of trees and surprisingly quiet given the nearby highway. The owner is very responsive and seems genuinely interested in making it a great natural park to stay in. Full hookups and 50a in every spot! Bonham is about ten minutes away and McKinney is about 25 minutes away.”

Pecan Park Riverside RV Park

Address: 50 Squirrel Run, San Marcos, TX 78666, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“I’m one of ‘those’ full-timers! I’m one of “those” full-timers (about a year and a half now, with no end in sight) at Pecan Park and I love it here! It is quieter, safer, and with the pecan trees and river access RIGHT there, more beautiful than anywhere else I’ve ever lived (and I had several very nice homes over the years.) I feel like I’m in a little slice of heaven in the country where I don’t do any of the yard work, have access to a pool I don’t have to clean, a wonderful community of folks, both the full-timers and weekenders, and am so close to shopping and whatever else San Marcos has to offer. Did the pool used to have some dumb rules? Sounds like it, but now it’s open for all, and NOT “closed for repairs” like it had been too often in the last year. I know that calls hadn’t been returned in the past (I was one of those really frustrated customers who experienced that for quite awhile) but that is no longer the case. I know that some people experienced not-so-great customer service (I did too), but that ship has sailed. I know that someone’s code for the gate was changed without being apprised, and so was mine some months back. All infuriating for us, the customer, because we weren’t treated like we mattered. Well, the owners, David and Rachael, have recently returned after some years of unforeseen absence, and what a difference. Maintenance people have been hired. Lots of graveling, paving, tree-trimming, painting, pool repairs and other updates were put into place. The office is abuzz with activity and calls are answered, communication is open, and David and Rachael have now been consistently present 7 days a week, all day long. They’ve met with each of the full-timers and other winter Texans to get to know them, and it sure feels like we matter to them. There was no incentive for me to write this review, nor did I get any discounts on my rent or favors. I’m just a retired teacher who thinks it’s important to tell people, and let others know, when they are doing well.”

Emerald Springs Park

Address: 3604 Old Mill, Georgetown, TX 78628, USA

Park

“The tallest slide is one of the best in the city. Big area for dogs to play and a long paved walk to ride a bike or scooter. The playscape is also top notch with lots of climbing and scaling and adventures both natural and man made.”

Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site

Address: 6900 Hueco Tanks Road No. 1, El Paso, TX 79938, USA

Park Campground Lodging

“Drive was about 45 minutes from downtown El Paso to the ranger station. Beautiful drive about 15 minutes before entering the actual park. If you enjoy looking at rocks/boulders, this is the place to go. Everywhere you look, there's amazing views. If this is your first time, you'll need to watch a video about the history and preservation, this is valid for one year. It is 7$ per person. Rangers are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Went in the early morning, make sure to pack water, hikes are short, but there is not much shade. A great place to learn and explore, a section is only available for self guided tours, there are guided tours available that let you explore more of the park. Definitely recommend going to this hidden gem. Encountered a few folks that were bouldering. A very family friendly place. Really appreciate all the that has been done to make sure this area is preserved and well maintained for many, many more generations to enjoy. There were lots and lots of wildflowers throughout the trails. Also, beware of the rattle snakes, saw two in the early morning, be alert, give them their space.”

“To say I had garden envy is a complete understatement. Everything here looked so lush and vibrant. The staff tending to the plants were super friendly and willing to share knowledge on the plants and property. Everything is very well kept and you can tell the staff take huge pride over their facility. My husband and 5 year old are avid spring swimmers and jumped right in. Rope swing was a hit. My 16yr old and myself enjoyed sunning on the surrounding rocks and watching the wildlife. The pool was gorgeous and it was so cool to watch the water flow into the pool, out again, down the water fall and into the spring pool. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone thinking of visiting.”
