“We were looking for a place convenient to our daughters house for the birth of our first grandchild. We found several choices in the area but after reading the many positive reviews online we decided to give Spring Branch RV a try. We stayed for a week and we were not disappointed, the staff, owners and residents were extremely welcoming and friendly. There is obvious pride in keeping the grounds and common areas looking nice. While we were there, small enhancements to landscaping (which was already quite nice) were being made. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The entertainment room off the laundry area was a great place to relax while doing laundry or just coming in the morning for a cup of coffee and sitting on the porch in and looking out at the Wonky play house area nestled in between the large oak tress (also there is a nice book exchange). Our dog enjoyed the dog park, and made a bee line to it every morning even though that is not normally his thing! The sites were level and easy for big rigs to maneuver. Though I was initially skeptical about the proximity to Highway 281, it did not turn out to be a problem. We generally stay in State or National parks and have stayed only few commercial parks, but this was far and away the best of those we have stayed in. Internet quality was the best I have ever had at any RV park. We will definitely be back.”

Lake Park

Address: 600 Sandy Beach Rd, Lewisville, TX 75057, USA

“This is a great spot for a day picnic. It’s located in Lewisville. Lot of picnic tables with grills. There is beach area where kids can enjoy. The place is big and open for a nice walk. Overall a great place with water and green space to relax and enjoy. The park has a 10$ fee per car to get inside.”

Gray Branch Community Park

Address: 1299 Gray Branch Rd, McKinney, TX 75071, USA

Park

“This is a great place to go for a peaceful walk through the woods. It’s more like an “open space” like in Colorado than a park. There are ONLY trails here so make sure you bring your own water and use the facilities before arriving. I saw a lot of wildlife on my first trip including a Great Horned Owl! Will definitely be back to walk or bike the other two loops!”

Bullard Heights Neighborhood Park

Address: Dunaway St &, Pasley St, Waxahachie, TX 75165, USA

Park

“The playground was clean and in great shape. I do want to note that this is a neighborhood park...so ya need to run home to use the restroom 🤔. The water under the bridge this July day is barely a foot deep , but it is shady so that is the coolest picnic table spot right now.”

North Park

Address: 3210 N Park Rd, Canyon Lake, TX 78133, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great little park with access to the lake amd several interesting dive sites. No day use and limited camp sites available keep the crowd level low. We booked campsite for weekend but only stayed during the day for dive site access. Campsites near the lake are nice for primitive camping but sites further back are lacking lake views/access from camp to lake. Not a big deal for us but if I was camping there I would try for a closer site. Restrooms are a pit toilet and the age is showing. Not gross, just old and in need of a touch up. Camp hosts were incredibly polite and helpful. All in all a cool place to hang out, swim, and dive.”

Everything is positioned close together so your kids can do different things but you can still keep an eye on them. Great for scooters and roller skates too. Also, there is a port-a-potty.”

Rockledge Park

Address: Rockledge Park, 3600 Pilot Point, Grapevine, TX 76051, USA

Park

“My first time visiting this park. So I had a very different experience that I wasn't expecting. I didn't know what kind of park we were visiting today. It's a big place with lots of covered spaces with benches for people to sit under the shade. Have barbecue spaces , lots of big trees to hang a hammock/swing. It's near the shore ,you can see the lake ,and even go in the water to swim. Of course I didn't know any of these so I was unprepared. I suggest you bring a hammock and rope to enjoy the beautiful breeze here. If you would like to go into the water bring towels, swim suits and sandals. It got really crowded in the afternoon so come early to find a perfect spot and enjoy the quiet environment as well. The cons about this place were normally entry fee was 10$ but since it's a holiday season now they are asking 20$ per car ,this doesn't make sense at all. Increasing twice as much is being greedy I think. And even though there weren't that many people the parking lots were already full that's why we had to park our car near the road which doesn't look good and risky because the road is already tight. If you have your boat bring it,you will enjoy it a lot otherwise you can rent it here at the entrance store. Hope this helps everyone to get prepared. Overall it was a beautiful place to enjoy your whole day with family and friends”

Shanty Tubes 2

Address: Canyon Lake, TX 78133, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great place to rent a tube or bring your own. $20 pp, the tube takes you around the horseshoe. They have two sites, 1 and 2. Sign up, pay and they give you a parking pass. After you place it in your car they will give you wristbands and a tube (if you need one). You get on the river right there and get off the river on the second bridge. Walk up the hill and get on a bus back. You can do it all day for the same entry, just get another tube and start again. Place gets busy on Saturday/sun just be patient. Nice folks run this, bus drivers are nice. It gets a bit crazy mid river… FYI for those with sensitive young children, alcohol is allowed and some wild and crazy parties may abound, but not bad. People enjoying life!!!!”

Braden Aboud Memorial Park

“Nice big park with a splash pad. The playground equipment looks new & safe. I was pleasantly surprised that you can rent the indoor venue for parties. It was very nice & clean, tables & chairs were set up. There was a refrigerator, electrical outlets and sink in it as well. The air conditioner worked very well. There are restrooms & porta potty. There was even a security guard present.”

Padre Balli Park

Address: 15820 Park Rd 22, Corpus Christi, TX 78418, USA

Park

“This was our first time here at Padre Balli Park. It was nice and clean. There weren't too many campers so they had slots open. We were less than 5min. walking distance to the beach. The water was brown on the first day and very windy. The second and third days were very nice 87°F for the high and humidity was low. So very comfortable weather. The water started returning to it natural color and by Wednesday it was there. We went fishing and caught a few fish and released them back. The bath/shower house was clean and the laundry room was in working order. I wish they had more washer & dryers. The price for the premium sites are very reasonable. They do offer tent camping and have electricity to most spots. I would recommend getting a beach parking pass from the office at about $14.00 so you can drive on the beach ⛱️ and set up for the day. The pass is good for 1yr. It was really nice and we look forward to heading back there before the year end.”

Dunn Right RV Park

Address: 23325 Owens Rd, Porter, TX 77365, USA

Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“Awesome host and park!! Brandy, the owner, is so friendly and accommodating. The name certainly is correct, it is Dunn right! The bathrooms are spotless, as are the showers and laundry facilities. Extra large dog park behind the storage units, which my boys loved. We enjoyed frozen cocktails one evening at the bar/outdoor food truck area. We will stay here on future travels and I highly recommend Dunn Right RV Park!”

Rickel Park

Address: Rickel Park Dr, Hurst, TX 76053, USA

“This is an awesome Park be prepared to walk up a lot of hills and if you're think you're in good shape try to run them because they're pretty tough pretty steep there's a playground there there's a creek that goes through the place there's a place there that kind of resembles the Grand canyon a little bit but it's not real big it's just a small area but it's a great Park to go walking in”

Son's Island

Address: 110 Lee St, Seguin, TX 78155, USA

Park

“Awesome place to checkout! We had a cabana during the day with a large group then a few of us stayed overnight in the 2 queen style tent. They provide pretty much everything in the tent you need. Power, Fans, cots, etc. Gave 4 stars due to price which is a little high. But overall it's a sweet place to do for the day and especially overnight as the daytime people leave at a set time leaving the place wide open for the camping groups.”

Meadow Oaks Park

Address: 3300 Meadow Oaks Dr, Corinth, TX 76210, USA

Park

“Beautiful atmosphere, well maintained landscaping. Lots of open space and a gazebo with benches for family events. Playground is covered and up to date but run-off has left some mulch areas muddy. Biggest downside is the near complete lack of parking. It's only curbside parking for 7-8 vehicles.”

“Amazing facilities, courteous staff, TONS of different equipment.”

“Great walking trails lots of space and beautiful sites to see! They have tent and rv camping. Main bathroom by the park was very clean.
