Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“This was one of the loveliest RV parks we have been to in the 2 years that we have had our small RV. Lots of trees and a beautiful area along a river at the end of the park but very near our space. At the back of our space was a pasture where there were 4 cows grazing with their calves who were cavorting with each other! In the evenings a herd of 10+ deer came down to that same area and entertained us with their antics! Unfortunately the highway that ran in front of the park was busy and somewhat noisy from traffic but this noise decreased greatly before bedtime. At night we were able to open the large back door on the rear of the van and fall to sleep serenaded by the birds. The bath/shower room looked brand new! They were immaculate and rarely used so plenty of hot water for my shower! Even though almost every trailer had a dog(s), there was minimal barking. They must have strict guidelines for the majority of the residents who live there for months at a time since nearly every site was neat as a pin! It may be difficult to get reservations since there were only about 4 empty RV Sites when we pulled in! Lovely pool and pool house with billiards table. So thrilled they gave us a site with a full view of the deer in the pasture!”

Multiple playgrounds for different ages groups, shade coverings, basketball courts, gazebo, walking path, picnic tables, picnic shelter, as well as restrooms and tennis courts. We spent an hour here and would definitely bring the kids back again!”

Barney Wood Bark Park

Address: 14090 Heartside Pl, Farmers Branch, TX 75234, USA

Park

“Nice afternoon at the dog park! It was clean and all the dogs were friendly. Plenty of sitting areas and covered pavilions. I will say, the gates are a little tricky and one lady accidentally them open, so just be sure to shut them completely to keep all the dogs safe and inside the park. -Grace Speese, President Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce”

Carver Park

“The splash pad is nice the buttons don't really work but the kids had a lot of fun. The restrooms are close. I think the playground could use a little more shade. The baseball field is well used. There's a nice little paved trail towards the back I'll be excited to try out here soon just not in the afternoon heat, lol! Overall a nice little park and splash pad. We will definitely be back.”

Dragon Park

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

Address: 11670 Massey Rd, Pilot Point, TX 76258, USA

Zoo Park

“It was an amazing experience at the ranch. Our 2 year old had a lot of fun petting some of the animals and feeding most of them and so did I. The ranch was fairly clean given the fact that there are so ny kinds of animals there. The smell was not bad either. The prices for the adults ($15) amd parking ($5) was reasonable I think. Children under 3 are free to enter. Most of the farm animals were active and interactive but the lions, tiger, kangaroo, hyena and bear were mostly sleeping during our 2 hour visit. The prices for the feed was reasonable as well ($10 for 4 bags or $3 for 1). Overall it was a great experience. I thought that the tours were confusing to track and locate and there were not enough staffs present. The ones that were present were friendly. Would definitely be interested to go again on a slightly less hotter day.”

Kiest Park

Address: 3080 S Hampton Rd, Dallas, TX 75224, USA

Park

“What a treasure. Wide walking trails. Several playgrounds. Drinking fountains. Parking lots. Easy to maneuver a double stroller too. Welcoming to people of all sizes, colors and shapes. A terrific park. Well done City of Dallas. Working bathrooms or clean port a potties would have earned five stars but neither of those were found. The playground had age appropriate climbing structures- for whatever age child you have. And it was convenient to have a toddler playground right next to the bigger playground so it was easy to have multiple children in one area and I could see them all. The park is mostly level and there is a stone pavilion in the park which is so beautiful. I am so glad I visited and will definitely return. .”

Highly recommend.”
