“Love the dog park. Love the trails. Nice area for kiddos too. Appreciate the snake warnings by trails or my adventurous teen wouldn't believe me, be cautious. Field stickers are bad this year! BUT the dog enclosure and playground area seem clear. Just be careful crossing fields to get to basketball court or trails.”

“Many cultures, one Texas. Visiting this historic site is worth a visit when in the area. Learn about the native Americans, Spanish explorers and missionaries in southeast Texas. It’s a small park and learned tons of facts on our visit. If anything it’s a great place to take pictures.”

“Excellent, and challenging disc golf course. Bring a retrieving pole, it’ll be a life saver. It’s a very wooded course, with lots of narrow runs. It’ll force you to focus, and not just power through tees.”

“had a private event at this campground and can’t say enough good things! The staff was always accessible and quick to answer any questions I had. The layout is intimate, and we loved the pool, the nice bathrooms and all the amenities at the clubhouse! This camp has a unique vibe and you can see the care the owners have given to the property! The main grounds are quite flat for walking, which I was very appreciative of. My guests kept approaching me telling me how much they liked this campground. Highly recommend!”

“I'm new to the area and wanted to check out the trails and the creek. It's a beautiful natural area. I didn't realize how long of a walk it would be to the actual creek lol this would be a cool spot to take the kids for a nice bike ride- the trails are longer. The south access has a shorter walk to the creek it seems.”

“We want to share this hidden spot in Wylie...the Wylie Rec Center!! The workout facility in the Rec Center is awesome!! They have free weights, machines, and all kinds of options for cardio-including an indoor track. They also have a rock climbing wall that is available to kids and adults!! My kids LOVE coming to the childcare area-that is FREE with your annual membership!! The yearly cost for an individual membership is $175 for Wylie residents and $225 for an individual outside of Wylie. The staff is awesome, sweet to my kids, and they keep the whole place very clean!! It’s located just off 544 and Country Club...check it out!!!”

“We had so much fun playing in the splashpad and running around the playground! When you have a little and short on cash, a park with a splashpad when it's hot outside is a GODSEND. The only downside is that there are no bathrooms.”

“Family vacation for spring break 2023 was almost a busy until The Arrowhead Tipi Resort came up in my search. STUNNING hand painted tipi's with A/C and heating, comfortable beds and very welcoming appearance inside. A beautiful, in site, private stocked pond for fishing, 3 showers that turn your trip from camping to glamping. There is a shared center for all 5 tipi's that offer picnicking, grilling, family fun games, a fire pit and even complimentary smore kits! Absolutely the best quick get-a-way in a long time. Icing on the cake, you're only a few minutes from Lake Tawakoni State Park entrance. See some pictures of this amazing place.”

The food app was amazing we didnt have to wait in line for our food, we loved the nachos and dipping dogs. My children had so much fun that we try to go every friday. The live band and movie is such an amazing idea and we consider it family time. The music the DJ played was great it definitely took us back in time and my children loved it. “My family and I went to Canyon lake and had a good time. It wasn't crowded and it felt like we were on a real out of state vacation. The water was blue and the white rocks gave the lake a really good resort vibe. The drive into Canyon lake was also so beautiful. You see houses on hills. If you are ever traveling to the San Antonio area you have to go here.”

“Usually in parks the entry tickets are per car however here it’s per person. $5 ticket per adult but totally worth it for the blue bonnet blooms. Water body near by makes it even more spectacular. Apart from blue bonnets there are some white and yellow wildflowers as well. Nice place to chill out. There are some camping place as well. People bring their camp gears or just folding chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy nice view with blue bonnets fragrance in the air. Some hike trails. Quite a large area. You can drive car around and check it out. However the road are not concrete roads but just gravel and some rocks. So if you’ve car with low clearance- be careful going to steep roads. Restrooms available by the entrance. If you want to go there during blooming season - March last week and April first week are appropriate time for that.”

“Great neighborhood pool. Spacious parking, lots of trees to find shade and all the kids are hilarious. Seems like Austin could pad this lifeguard shortage from Northwest - the guards are a wee bit uptight imo. Anyhoo covers all swim types - you got your deep end, your lap pool, your open space pool and your kiddie pool. Nice family spot for sure.”
