“Visited today for the first time! Great park for younger and older kids ! Lots of different things to play on. Kids love the see saws and the "spinning thing" the best. It also has a large sandpit with dump trucks, riding toys, shovels etc. So much fun for all ages!”

“0-3 years: YES 4-6 years: YES 7+: They may get bored Play areas separate: Small park seperate from splash pad Fenced off: NO Toilets: YES Splash pad: YES Sand pit: NO Party shaded: NO. Some seating is covered but not park Totally shaded: NO Covered picnic tables: YES Walking trail: YES Extra notes: Small, simple park but really good fun for the younger kids. There are toilets but they're on the other side on the tennis court. I think older kids 8+ could potentially be bored. There are other things for the older kids to do though like volleyball etc”

“Summary: Nice boat ramp, great picnic areas. No camping :( Details: Our visit was in late Feb and while it was warm it was also very windy. Park host was extremely nice and the overall condition of the park was grade A. - one star for less than great water access if you don't bring a boat”

“The river area at the park is the perfect place. A really good friend of mine and his wife who visit this spot at least 3 times a week brought my 8 yr old daughter and I here. We both loved it. Great spot to learn or ride in a kayak for the first time and fish as well. My daughter had the opportunity to do both thanks to my buddy and his wife. This spot is not overcrowded, not too loud, and has no hustle and bustle. Great area to sit and relax in the water or drop your kayak in and paddle down the river and back up. I'm looking forward to returning to this location because of how calm the area is.”

“Gordon and everyone down at Al’s hideaway is awesome. We love traveling on 2 wheels and this is a perfect place to stay for riding all over the hill country! Scenic rides and great places to eat in all directions and then you get to cook and hang out with like minded people in their great outdoor kitchen or head back to cabin for a little more privacy and hang out on your own front porch. The pool is also great almost year round with the heat down here. Check them out you won’t regret it! Mico”

“My daughter, grandsons and I visited Ray Roberts Lake on Labor Day. The Park Ranger we worked with was very informative and friendly. We picked up our Texas State Parks Junior Ranger books and the Texas State Parks Passport Books. We are excited to start collecting our stamps for this passport!! We hiked two of the trails: the Lost Pines Trail and the Randy Bell Scenic Trail. The Lost Pines trail was very sandy, but good views of the lake! We really enjoyed the Randy Bell trail since it was paved the whole way, but there were not really good views of the lake! I would definitely recommend either trail and will return again sometime!”

“This campground was absolutely beautiful! The staff in the office were very customer/guest friendly, efficient, and very helpful. The campsites were large, and we didn't feel cramped or crowded by the sites next to us. Very quiet, peaceful, and we felt safe. The entire campground was well maintained. We loved every minute of our week spent there. We highly recommend this campground and will be back next year.”

“We discovered this park by chance. It was very nice. Well worth the $5 fee we paid. We only saw about 5 people there on a Sunday afternoon. The bathrooms were nicer than many parks. We saw several deer on the way out of the park just a few feet from our vehicle. There are grills, picnic tables with awnings, a boat ramp, ATV trails, and hiking/nature trails.”

“This place is really neat. I drove by and talked with a few ladies working on their garden. Its a community garden ran by the church. The beds are rented for $30/yr. They had a lot of nice stuff growing. I saw kale, spinach, Swiss chard, lots of onions and garlic beets asparagus, purple asparagus, and lots of other cool season crops. Some people had started on their summer beds, saw a few tomatoes, herbs and peppers. How do I reserve a bed?”

“The park is located close enough to Space Center Houston, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston, etc to make it a good location for exploring Houston. It does have level concrete pads for both the RVs and tow cars. It has a bit of a sterile feel to it with so much concrete and nearly no trees inside the park. The area has a lot of road construction and traffic so plan to bring your patience.”

“Great beach! Shallow entry great for kids and grandkids. You can walk out 100byeards and still be at your knees or hips. This beach can get crowded, but ways enjoyable. $10 per day or $40 yearly pass.”

“Super quiet, peaceful, not too many people out. Parking spaces weren't individually marked but there is abundant parking. Several trash cans throughout the area, and multiple sitting areas with shade. A fair amount of trees provide shade too. Lake looked a bit dirty but there were a couple of people fishing.”
