“Walgreens on Carrier and Westchester in Grand Prairie Texas is the best community Walgreens I've ever been in. It reminds you of the old drugstore back in the day when they actually called them drug stores. And you had a local pharmacist who knew everybody by their name. I'm sad that I don't have the name of the pharmacist there who is extremely kind and positive every time I see him. I was recently diagnosed with cancer this year. I had a prescription sent over for tamoxifen, a pill that I would have to take daily for the next 5 to possibly 10 years to fight off cancer from returning. When I went to pick up my prescription the the first time, the pharmacist smiled at me as he was ringing up my prescription at the register. He looked at me and said, "now do you know what this medicine is for" I smiled and said yes I do. He told me how to take it when to take it but he continued on to smile and said, "you call me if you have any questions". Now that may sound like normal customer service to you. But there was something about his sense of genuine caring that registered with me in a very critical moment in my life. IT mattered to me how he made me feel. I've gone to this Walgreens for over a decade consistantly, probably weekly when I don't want to go into a large box store. I've never had one issue, no one complaints. Oh wait that's not totally true the rocky road ice cream there is always refrozen. I think there may be a slight issue with their freezer so beware of the ice cream.”

After many recommendations from friends and neighbors, we decided to try ZIkam neighborhood pharmacy. I believe Alexander is not only the pharmacist but the owner. The guy is super polite and knowledgeable. The customer service and communication is the best. You can email Alexander any time of the day or night and be rest assured to get a timely response. Sometimes I get the impression the guy doesn't sleep. :) If you are looking for a reputable local pharmacy, you have to give Zikam pharmacy a try. You will not be disappointed. Shout out to his staff too. They are very nice and treat you with a lot of respect.”
