“A basic campground with lots of workers. All sites were clean, not junky. Seemed like a lot of people who just needed to be in San Marcos for work or visit. Not a resort - no pool, playground or other amenities. Right on the feeder road. Small dog park with broken gate. Bathrooms were clean, with hot water and plenty of pressure. Laundry looked okay. Campsites are very wide, roads are good. Cell service on Verizon very good. If you need to be in San Marcos for some reason, this is a good base of operations. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.”

“I am so impressed with this park! It is beautiful and clean! They have these awesome trials you can walk or bike threw trees, there are even some primitive camp sights in the trees, they also have different areas for campers where you can hook up. They have cabins and a park for kids. It’s very clean and well kept. The staff are really nice and helpful! I would love to come back here for a family reunion 😍 Each camper spot also has its own fire pit and picnic table.”

“Village North has been my home for 20 years. I really like this neighborhood. My neighbors are nice and I don't have any issues with anyone over here. Ana Lara-Carrillo the manager who runs this place is very kind. During this pandemic, she has helped out residents in need. She has given out fans in the summer time that has been donated to people that need cool air. She has given out new skirting for people that need to replace the old ones. She has designated a spot for people that need food they can pick it up. I have been able to drop off food at the same spot. She has really helped this community in their time of need. If you need her for anything, she is just a phone call away. It's a HUGE improvement from what I've experienced in the past from other management. She works hard to keep this place running the way it does and she really makes this place home. I love living here now. I hope it doesn't change.”

Our kids had a great time making friends on the playground and running around the park. It’s also the first park we’ve stayed at where you can walk to get a delicious latte from the drive-thru coffee spot at the front of the property. Will absolutely be staying here again!”

“This is an amazing camp ground. I feel very safe living here and love my neighbors. Everyone Is friendly, respectful and courteous. We all look out for one another. The showers, bathroom and laundry room is always clean. There is a big screen TV in the laundry room to keep you entertained while doing laundry. They have a lending library with books and movies. The pavilion is centrally located where we can use the smoker and or grill anytime. The Campfire ring is great for those nights when you want to make s’mores and just relax with your friends and family. The managers are fantastic, they are willing to help without even asking. Kathy and Patrick work hard to keep the park clean, safe and fun. Every month they sponsor a fun group activity. In the past we had an International food night, That was yummy. Then a movie night, a fun fair and this weekend we’re having our summer hot dog and brat’s fair with raffles to celebrate our One year anniversary. Sure hope you can join us. This park is truly a great place to live. If it was possible to give them a 10 star rating I definitely would.”

There’s plenty of things to do close by and the grounds themselves are very picturesque. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The park itself and the bathrooms and showers are very clean. “Edit: I'm having to knock off a star for price increases. The Raptor tax is real - we pay quadruple what the UTVs pay, and double the Jeeps, for the same course! If they dropped the price I'd go 3x as much but as it I have a hard time dropping $140 for a few hours at the track, as good as it may be. Incredible complex, great courses, and prices. The owners and employees clearly care about what they are doing, and go above and beyond to take care of you even when things go awry (such as getting rained out). Highly recommend.”
