He loved it so much that he would get there so early on his bike and I got a phone call from the principal letting me know that he is there early I laughed because they must be doing something right for kids to want to be there early. Now my son is 21 and my younger child is 6 she goes there and she loves the school! Truly blessed my kiddos had a wonderful experience with good hard working teachers that love what they do,and show it and friendly people there at the school.”

“Otto is a great school with phenomenal faculty and excellent facilities. Many opportunities are available for students at Otto. Lots of talented, intelligent students attend Otto Middle School. However, many students here don't appreciate the school detracting from the quality of classes.The lack of a tennis program is also illogical considering the existence of tennis courts on the campus and school's high budget.”

“My son went here from 12 weeks to 1 year old. All the teachers (Ankita, Connie, Celine, Miss K) were really nice and seemed to care about my son. Even the employees that weren't in his room would say hi to him in the mornings. They have an app that allows you to follow their progress and receive pictures throughout the day. We unfortunately had to move and we will miss them!”

“I've read what others have commented about not easy to find, the layout, it being small, old, & the service being not so great. I've attended events & football games here since 2005 and none of those have been my experience. Football games are always fun, loud, & packed! Wylie East High Raiders & Wylie High Pirates share the stadium. Both schools are great & talented as well, always playing something fun & entertaining us with their dances, music, & the games. The band, dance, cheer, ROTC, are always encouraging others & hyping up the viewers. They're friendly and at every game they bring over people from the other teams to make friends. The stadium is large, clean, newish, & well kept. Bathrooms are clean & lots to choose from. Never a long line. Concession food is good, considering its concession food. The concession stands & gates are run by volunteer students & parents trying to earn for their clubs or events. The stadium is located directly behind the Wylie High school, across from the Super Kroger & B&B Movie Theater. For those with back issues, if you're on the home side, reserve a center (red) seat. They're bucket seats with a back. Not well cushioned however. I've always brought myself a foam chair pad, when sitting in those, or the foldable chairs you can attach to the bleachers. You can find those chairs at the Kroger across the street. They allow you to bring in blankets/pillows as well.”

“I have been taking my 7 month old baby to Children's Lighthouse at Alamo Ranch for a little over a month now. Initially, I was worried about bringing my baby to daycare. I had stayed home with her for the first 6 months of her life and I made sure to provide her with the most exposure/exploration opportunities. I feared she would be placed in a swing or jumper all day. When I toured this place over a year ago, I researched Children's Lighthouse at Alamo Ranch on the Texas Health and Human services website to lookover their inspections, violations and reports. I found very few violations for 2018 and nothing that truly concerned me enough to eliminate this place from my daycare options at the time. I remained on their waitlist for over 8 months (which is pretty normal perhaps even short for a good daycare). I really enjoy their camera system. I check on my baby frequently making sure I see her playing on the floor and teachers engaging with the children. I even timed how long they kept my child on the jumper one day over video - I'm over the top - they claim to only keep a child in jumpers for maximum of 15 minutes and from what I timed, it was true. I even called to confirm. I'm not playing games here. I take my daughter's care very seriously. I have tried this center and they have surpassed my expectations so far. Front desk staff are usually courteous. Phone calls are answered in good time. This center feels very clean which is also very important to me. Right now for infant in room 2 - I am paying about 250 / week (not sure if I'm supposed to say that - but this is a real review for another parent like me out there. The teachers that I have engaged with have been courteous each time. Never have I felt disrespected. I call frequently to check on my child and I have never received bad attitude from my child's teachers. I read over their curriculum and it's relevant to the developmental age of the children in Room 2 (6 months - 1 year). Aside from being able to watch my child on the WATCH ME GROW app, there is a KIDS REPORT app in which I can monitor what is going on with my child throughout the day (feedings, changes, pictures). My daughter has had some bad rashes and a cold that are not related to this center's care, but I'm satisfied with their compliance in administering medication and medicated diaper cream at the specific times that I need them to be administered. I also love that they have Parent's Night Out events where they are open certain nights and weekends. I recently received a flyer for the father-daughter dance which sounds so cute and fun. Finally, it's important that I examine my child's response to drop offs. I notice my baby smiles immediately at the teachers when she sees them which is very good sign. I can elaborate further but I already went overboard with this review. I don't know if people can ask questions on here but feel free to ask away.”

There are stellar teachers and I genuinely consider this school one in which the students have as much creative power as they could ever want. There is a distinct atmosphere to the school that may seem initially overwhelming, comprised of the strength of rigorous academics and the dominance of "geek" culture, but those who tough it out throughout the years may find themselves in great company overall.”

“i have moved 26 times in my life i lived in Texas, Mexico, Nebraska and Losuianna. Throughout each of those states i've moved to different cities in them. In Texas i have lived in laredo, san antonio, corpus, george west and dallas. Taft high school is one of the best most accepting schools i have ever been to. The teachers are lenient with a lot of things. For example , you can use your phones , they let you turn in work days late, they let you retake things until you make a high grade and some teachers are about their students. For example Mrs. Alderman tried her best with each and every student to help them succeed in life and she also gave amazing advice if you came into her room in seek of help. The AP and Pre Ap classes here are not challenging at all ...... i was top 25% before i moved and i didn't really have to work at it. I mean i turned in my homework on time and payed attention in class but that's all. I didn't take very many AP or Pre AP classes to achieve my GPA either. The school hardly gives out any homework and most teachers give you time in class to do the homework. Most people think this school is ghetto and that it is full of thugs. However most of the students that attend this high school come from gated communities and promising neighborhoods. I moved here at the end of sophomore year and moved out the end of junior year and i have a lot of amazing friends that i will never forget. The school may be very old and dirty but it's home to many students like myself. On the other hand, the only negative things i honestly can say is the parking lot is horrible to get off after school ends and the counselors don't help you with anything. The counselors want to fight you if you drop an advance class or if you want to switch classes. There are fights mostly everyday at the s school but hey who doesn't want to see a fight it's fun. The school is packed with 4000 + students which creates the hallways to be packed during passing period but we get like a 6 min passing period so it doesn't really matter. The school lunch is alright it's honestly not bad although my friend found a ladybug in her salad but you can go off campus if you are a senior so it doesn't really matter. The supervision at this school is trash but that's what makes it an amazing school. Out of all the schools i have ever been to this school is honestly the best. There is no racism or bullying that i've ever seen here. It's a regular highschool so of course there will be drama between people but everyone is accepting. ”

I want to say that they stood by his side through all of the struggles. They were amazing to him and very patient with us. I will never forget the time we shared with you and that you shared with us.
