My husband has developed such trust with Dr. Mayes & Her Office Manager Naomi. Today even, A nurse practitioner Nurse Green, who had met my husband before but he didn’t quite remember her, was to see my husband and Dr. Mayes came in and explained it advance to my husband. Nurse Green was very calm and understanding in care towards my husbands condition. We were very comfortable with her during & following the appointment.
My husbands condition commands a daily routine with people he trusts and he is always comfortable in Dr. Mayes office.
We recommend this practice and it’s staff for more than a five star rating because they treat the family as a whole and are engaged & diligent in their approach to my husbands care. Go Team Mayes!!
Dr. Mayes is an excellent doctor as well as kind and compassionate. She really cares about her patients and it shows in so many ways. We just love her. In addition her entire staff is professional and extremely attuned to the needs of patients who have neurological disorders. They are a fantastic group and we are lucky to have them.
Excellent thorough physician who takes time with her patients and truly listens to your concerns. Dr Mayes provides exceptional healthcare. Very knowledgeable in her field, goes above and beyond. I had been hospitalized a few times, lots of tests and several Drs before I finally got referred to her. Dr Mayes was very thorough in explaining to my husband and I what she suspected was wrong and why she was going to refer me to the Autonomic Clinic in Norfolk. She was correct in her diagnosis and won us over, not only with her intelligence, but her patience and great bedside manner. She truly cares about her patients.
I just had my follow up appt with her and she exceeded my expectations, again. Wish I could give her more than 5 stars.
Dr. Mayes has been caring for me for over 10 yrs. She is an excellent Neurologist. She is extremely thorough and detail caring for complex issues. Her staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can’t go wrong with her.
