(January 21, 2019, 4:07 pm)Was at Olversons for a club rendezview late last summer. This is a spacious hidden gem of a "down-home marina complex on the Virginia side of the mouth of the Potomac River. It is well upstream from the Potomac River's mouth in a rather well sheltered old time marina with plenty of dockage...much of which is covered slips! There is plenty of parking and yes, camping or RV space.
You'll be far from crowded metropolitan cities and hectic pace.
This is a great stop for either cruising sailboats or cruising motor craft to rest and wind down. It is a fine spot after a day's easy cruise form Solomons Island in the North. About 2 days from D.C or Alexandria up the Potomac River, and a nice easy cruise from Deltaville and a comfortable two days from Hampton Roads.
No need to "push that throttle or tack too much...Call the marina they will save a slip for you!

(July 10, 2018, 2:39 pm)Friendly Marina staff, MTOA marina, covered and uncovered slips, club house with cleen showers, outdoor swimming pool, two boat ramps, good fishing and crabbing. Facilities are for boat slip and RV site renters. Boat ramp fee is 5 bucks and includes a day's parking.

(October 4, 2017, 1:37 pm)They are terrific there, very helpful very relaxed as far as our dog is concerned! They give him treats every day we don't have to keep him on the leash during the week when there are few people around. Max loves it here!
