(June 25, 2022, 8:39 pm)A very popular launch for kayaks, canoes, and floats just west of the Huguenot Bridge. The water near the ramp is calm and easy paddling. You have to go quite a ways downstream before you start hitting more fast-moving water. Facilities are rudimentary (port-a-potty) and there is no fresh potable water. There are no picnic tables or playgrounds, but the spot does afford an entrance to some walking trails downriver. The recently completed universal access ramp and concrete turnaround opens the river to more people, while making it even easier for all people to safely enter the water. Parking is difficult on busy days during the summer, so arrive early to ensure you are not disappointed.

(February 11, 2022, 4:31 am)This is a really great place to go to bring your kayak, canoe, or paddle board. Sometimes the parking lot can be really packed though) especially on a nice summer day falling on a Saturday or Sunday). Parking is free, entry is free, everything is free here since it’s public property. There is a boat launch and access ramp available for use too, which again, can sometimes get congested on a super nice summer day, but it’s not too big of a deal.

(March 11, 2021, 10:07 pm)Great river trail connecting to Pony Pasture Park. Partly on the road which is not heavily trafficked. Nice for walking, bicking, running or walking your pooch 😊Great little sandy openings to the river and then then at Pony Pasture the gorgeous rock formations to lie on and relax. Bring a picnic basket and you can make a whole day out of it 😉
