“Hello. I attended John B. Dey (pronounced 'die') while living in Hilltop Manor off of SR 60, from 1960 to 1966. I remember my first grade teacher, Ms. Dunn, and my fifth grade teacher, Ms. Taylor. I received an excellent foundational education encompassing the 'Three "R"s as well as music, plays/skits, art (painting & drawing), recess activities of action, exercise, and teamwork. I am thankful that I had the privilege of being tutored by a wonderful group of teaching professionals. Many fond memories.”

“We have both our 20 month old and 3 year old sons at Hope. We love it, they are very reasonable in price, it’s clean and safe, and the teachers are amazing. Ms. Alicia is my 3 year olds teacher and I swear she has given him some amazing confidence and excitement about learning! I also give credit to her for helping him learn how to use the potty (I was amazed!). She is also just really sweet and really cares about my son! Ms. Nicole and Ms. Renee are also the sweetest Teachers which my 20 month old son has. He still cries Almost every morning that I drop him off because he’s still very attached to me But they are so so patient with him and they don’t make me feel bad or stressed about that. They have the biggest hearts! They all communicate with me throughout the day with the app we use and the videos and pictures are incredible little reassurances that the boys are doing fine. I trust them and they are just a true blessing. I highly recommend Hope!!”

“The Plaza Middle School has a Planetarium which is for the City Of Virginia Beach. The programs are great, and also a great way to keep in touch with the stars, planets, and even the moon when you live in Virginia Beach. Not everyone knows about this planetarium. I have been there a few times. The one in Chesapeake is better than this one. I hope it lasts longer, if not, they need to relocate and build a new one right where the Minicipal Center or Towns Center is at. But this area is great, because the light pollution isn't as bad, it's been years since I have been there.”

“This school is the best school in the area. Family is super important to me especially when it comes to my children. As a single mom I am so mindful of who my children are around and what kind of environment I’m placing them in. This school is centered around a family environment. From learning stations that allow children to use imaginary play to dining family style with teachers, this school is nothing short of a positive family environment. We all come from different aspects of life and different cultures but we should all experience a family dynamic. One thing that people can count on in this school is a trusted environment for your kids. My daughters learned so much. They had the best teachers. Loving and patient and kind teachers who work tirelessly to make sure that the kids are in a safe and clean environment.”
