I was so nervous going here as I've had some really terrible experiences in the past regarding mental health. The nurse could tell my anxiety was through the roof.. clammy hands, high blood pressure, etc. Once Dr. Olinger came into the room it was like a ray of sunshine 🌞 on my 🌨️ cloudy day. She listens, she's kind and empathetic. She's an absolutely amazing doctor. Whatever you see her for, just know you are in good hands. The nurse was very sweet also. “I was referred to Dr. Adleberg with the Hampton Roads Retina Center. I had something seriously wrong with my vision, I didn’t know what it was, my eye doctor and I just knew it wasn’t right. Same day, when I saw Dr. Adleberg he immediately knew it was a partial retina detachment. This is a very serious issue, time sensitive, and honestly pretty darn scary. He not only kept me calm and talked me through all of the next steps, he performed the surgery on me the next day. After following all of his recovery procedures and doing regular check ups, I am now being released from regular check ups as of today. I highly recommend Dr. Adleberg to anyone who has any retina issues and I am glad to have him in my corner!”

“Dr Light is a good doctor. He's smart, he spends a reasonable amount of time with me, he listens, he is knowledgeable, doesn't make off the wall nonsensical recommendations that makes his patient scratch his or her head and say WHAT?? And if I don't understand he'll give me an explanation instead of getting all high and mighty and saying "I'm the doctor, do as I say" like some doctors do. And he is able to think out of the box. Unlike many in his profession who just can't. I fully recommend Dr Light. Now. His front office billing staff? Ha. They are none of the above. I had a visit and lab work. I told 3 people that I am on Medicare. They wrote down my info, copied my Medicare card and told me they would fax a work order for further diagnostic testing to the hospital and the hospital would call me. 3 weeks go by. No call from hospital. But I got a bill from the doctor's office and LabCorp saying I owed the full amount because..... they billed the insurance company I had previous to Medicare. I had to go to the doctor's office and explain again about Medicare. They made more copies. They said they'd take care of both bills and this time really fax the hospital. Yesterday I got a bill from LabCorp, past due because they are still billing the wrong insurance company. So back to the doctor's office I go tomorrow to see if I can get them to do what they tell me they are going to do. This is not the first screw up either Dr Light.. Awesome Front billing office. Fire them all and start new. Just my opinion”

The imaging technician was nice and polite, too, and I tried to have a small chat with her. I requested that she tell the doctor about some health issues that were bothering me, and she wrote them down for the doctor to look at. The facilities were good and clean. They have free coffee and tea.”
