“My time here was quick because I just needed a book of stamps. The lady at counter was quick and very friendly. But problem I have is she allowed a customer to stay inside and fill out her cards instead of sitting in her car. This caused more people to stand outside in the cold then needed to be. I just ask that you don’t allow customers to stand inside filling out their stuff more then 5 min. Keep the line moving and people happy.”

“Every time I visit this location, I am greeted with a smile. They are polite and efficient, while I have had issues with my packages and mail, they have helped me to their fullest abilities, even having other clerks double check. While I am seeing a lot of negative reviews, I can say, I have seen some customers with bad attitudes come and go, the employees do their best to assist those customers and when the next customer is there they are greeted with a smile as well. Perhaps it is because I take the time to greet them and call them by their name, or perhaps it is because I realize they are human and can only do so much.”

I was happily greeted on the phone by Joe and I explained the situation, gave my tracking number. I was told politely that he would personally check and make sure it wasn’t put in another mail box at my apartment complex and will call me soon to let me know if it was found. Within 45 minutes I got a call that my package was found and then was put into my correct mailbox. He was apologetic and was professional. I personally thank you Joe for saving the day! “This is a fantastic resource for those of us in the 83703 and 83702 neighborhoods, plus others who know of this hidden gem. You are greeted with a smile and leave with a "Thanks for coming here" from the postal employee. Re the "odd" hours: The lunch hour for the one worker who staffs it has always been 1-2 p.m. unless there is a substitute, who then sets his/her own hours. Most issues with the hours are due to the Boise USPS executives, who often don't replace the regular person when she is absent, forcing the facility to be closed. Now the USPS is saying they want to "relocate" the facility, another word for closing it. Despite the complaints about hours, it would be a huge loss for the area if it is shut down. We will need to drive downtown, to Marigold Street (Garden City) or Eagle for mail services. Please come to the meeting 10:30 a.m. Nov. 26, 2019, at the Collister Library to state your objections.”
