“Wonderful marina! This place is special, great facilities and services in front of the beautiful Chickahominy river with easy access to the James and Chesapeake but not crowded like other rivers and lakes in VA. Awesome restaurant with outdoor seating in front of the docks with even better staff! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We took our boat out for the first time and Calvert (owner) was actually waiting for us and helped us dock and secure the lines when we got back. After a few times here, it hits you. This is how it is all the time, they treat you like family and is clear they put a lot love and hard work into this awesome place. Our family is so happy we found this gem. I wish I could give them more stars!”

“We stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon and were sat at a bay view window (which was lovely). We both started with the Crab Soup (which was creamy, delicious and had several bits of crab in it - pictured). We each had the Fried Seafood Combo, which came with one Fried Flounder, one Fried Crab Cake, 3 Fried Shrimp and 3 Fried Oysters with a side of Onion Rings (pictured). The oysters were plump and juicy and the three shrimp were a good size also. There was plenty of food on the combo, but we did not feel like it was worth the $43 price tag. We came too early to try their famous sweet potato biscuits (as they said they started making those for dinner, starting around 4 pm).”

“Stopped by for a quick lunch. Super clean restaurant and restrooms. I tried the new lime shrimp and it was fabulous! Very friendly and helpful staff helped my build my bowl to perfection. “Rode up here just to try the hot dogs. I'd say they were about average. Buns were on the cool side and the chili and slaw, while good, didn't really standout. Fries were good. Otherwise, the service was excellent and very friendly despite me being an outsider amidst regulars. And the atmosphere was great. I mean, look at the place and the name - how can you go wrong with a place like this when it comes to character. Overall I rated it a 4, but really it is more like a 4.7.”

“HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE !!!! Hands down one of the coolest places I've been to in the world. Vibe was on point, bartenders were fantastic (especially the one with the low haircut possibly the head bartender), hookah was very flavorful and the DJ was on point. Prices are well within reason and the ambiance was cool. I enjoyed the crowd and it was a mix of people. When I come to VA no matter how long I'm in town for I'm stopping through. The owner (or whom I assumed is the owner) even helped pass out things for the customers. My sister and I truly enjoyed ourselves, thank you for the great evening. “I was pleasantly surprised at how dang good this food was! Ate there today for lunch with my mom, and everything was fantastic! Everything on the buffet was very fresh. Salad bar was great! Hot bar was great as well, from the fried chicken, roast beef, meatloaf, to all of the various veggies, we ate until we couldn't hold anymore lol. As of 6/13/2023, lunch buffet price was $10.49 for adults and $9.49 for seniors age 62+. We will definitely be back again. The server was great to top it all off 😀”

“We walked in to find a clean looking, peaceful restaurant. The menus were clean as were the tables. The booth seat was a little uncomfortable to me (back was too straight) so we opted to sit at a table. My only complaint was the floor was very sticky. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We ordered Thai coffee, crab wontons and vegetable rolls to start off with. The coffee was really good. Both appetizers were fresh and tasty. I didn't care for the sauce that came with them. Edible, but pretty bland. Peter and I opted to share a vegetable medley stir fry, with chicken, and my son ordered pad Thai with glass noodles. Nathan said his meal was wonderful. The medley was good, nothing special. Overall it was a nice meal and a pleasant experience. Cost was about $20/per. “Located just outside of Short Pump in Manakin-Sabot. We tried this place on a whim. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food is good. They have good portion sizes. They offer lunch specials daily from 11AM-2:30PM. You can order online or by phone. I only removed one star because the spring roll is fried unlike other Chinese restaurants ive been to, do this was disappointing and it was soggy. Please see photo below. “I’m in the area visiting for a month and stumbled upon Top’s China Restaurant. I’ve eaten here twice and both experiences were great. First visit I had the shrimp, fried rice and broccoli it was so good and fresh as well as packaged nicely. Second visit I had the shrimp fried rice with broccoli on the side and it was also very good. I thought the shrimp fried rice would have all the shrimp at the top and nothing at the bottom but nope they tricked me and had shrimp throughout my whole container which is exactly what I expect when I order shrimp fried rice. The customer service has been great both visits and the food has been hot both times. Thank y’all for great customer service and food I highly recommend and will be back before I leave I’m sure.”

“First time visiting Kiwi Pie Shop (curb-side) was during self-quarantine; wow am I glad I did. I am one bite into my steak and cheese pie and I’m bummed out I only got three more pies.
