“The setting is wonderful and the background music is great. Lots of room on the inside as well as outside. They also have a separate room for small parties that has a large screen projection unit. The servers seem to be attentive although service was a little slow probably due to the continual staffing problem finding people that are willing to work. Miss you your fingers down although it took an hour to get our food after being seated it is definitely worth the wait. Everything was hot, prepared well and plated efficiently. Everything was delicious. The owner, James, stop by and ask for our honest review. He was very friendly and even gave us a percentage off for our honesty. All in all a great experience and we will be going there again.”

“The night I went the place was quiet it was the first time I've ever had this type of food and I did enjoy it. I believe the older gentleman might be the owner when I told him this is the first time I have had this type of food he really didn't respond. And I asked him a few questions and he answered them briefly but considering that I was looking for suggestions and he was more interest in leaving me on my own. I'm not sure but maybe it's because he speaks broken English and I do not in any way hold that against him and I love people of all different nationalities and races. I just thought it was odd. But I would eat here again.”

Actually finished my leftovers for lunch today. The French toast was so thick fluffy my husband said it was like fried dough, and he loved it! The pancakes were just as fluffy and pretty thick for pancakes. Good place for anyone who likes good breakfast comfort food. Thanks to everyone at Honey Butter's for the awesome meal!”

“I have a soft spot for small diners, and Gina's hits it. I happened to be there on Thursday, which is the catfish special day. The catfish was delightful; starting with 2 large fillets, and since it was the special, a third showed up 2 minutes later. Two was enough, but I managed all three. The breading on the catfish was really thin and crisp; very few diner cooks manage thin crisp breading on fish, so I was happy. The fish inside was cooked perfectly. It was flaky and avoided the 'gummy' texture that catfish sometimes leans toward. Sides were classic diner sides; not special but cooked well. Mac n cheese was the creamy pan-cooked type, not baked; texture and flavor were identical to the blue box you grew up with. The deviled eggs were a nice surprise; good flavor and seemed fresh. Rolls were right out of the package. Service was good. The small dining room was dated and worn but clean. I look forward to dropping by on another day to try a burger.”

“The Catfish Bites were awesome!! I had the NC BBQ sandwich with hush puppies. I've had better BBQ it needed more vinegar. The hush puppies were really good. My wife got the salad. It was huge! My son got the chicken tenders. The service was okay but not exceptionally great. The atmosphere was ugh, should have sat outside. A little to noise but that may have been the caliber of people beside us. Other than that it will be worth coming back again for those catfish bites!”
