It's been years since I've eaten in an Applebee's. Got a $10 gift card at Easter and decided to wipe that out. Glad they still serve the Fiesta Lime Chicken that I used to enjoy. Still good for the price. I missed that it didn't (no longer?) comes with veggies or I would have ordered a side. Maybe less rice substituted with veggies? Overall, I ate good in the neighborhood. 🍎”

“A little different! The food and service is outstanding, though it’s a little different. We all got coffee, but when you ask for a refill they either bring you a new cup or have to take yours to refill. The Irish coffee is a mix your own concoction with lots of alcohol. I had the Cowboy hash and it was outstanding. I also tasted the French toast. It was also outstanding! We drank all their coffee, and ended up waiting for them to brew another pot. We ate outside (COVID avoidance). Lots of color and the seating was comfortable. Parking is easy, though one of the lots is across the street and could pose a bit of a problem if a patron drank more than they should. Parking is plentiful. Definitely worth the stop. A little quirky. I really want to come back to sample the menu for lunch or dinner and enjoy an adult beverage or two.”

“This place is not your standard texmex. They have many elevated menu items and unique dishes. Prices are a higher than your standard Mexican restaurant but the food is more Mexico city style. The chips and salsa comes with 4 salsa varieties to try. I mixed the pineapple with the haberero and that was a great combo. The bacon wrapped shrimp are delicious and really a good size shrimp. We had a minor issue but the waiter was very quick to address. Great break from the norm when it comes to Mexican food. Definitely worth a try. We will go back and you should too.”

“I've been coming to Virginia Beach for business and family fun for many years. I have eaten here often for over 30 years. And while some restaurants here can get a little same-y with offerings after a while the overall choices are generally good for families. We stumbled into Tulu quite by accident and were pleasantly surprised across the board. The staff was cheerful and attentive without overdoing either from the hostess to the servers. The beach-side location and view was lovely. And the food was simply marvelous. The cocktails were magnificently prepared and the pours were generous. My wife had the sweet corn and crab chowder along with the pan seared tuna appetizer for her dinner which featured wonderfully fresh fish and preparation. I had the pesto shrimp and fresh mozzarella pizza with balsamic glaze. Filling and fantastic! And the prices were right in line for good dining in this area. We will happily and anxiously return.”
