“My two kids, ages 9 and 11, got haircuts with Sandra today. She was great! Super nice to my kids. My younger kid is quite an animated person but she was still super nice to him. Both kids told her what they wanted and she definitely delivered. My older son has lots of cowlicks, but he still gave a great cut. Sandra sold me some pomade that she used on my son's hair, and gave me advice for styling his hair effectively. Today was our first time at this barber. Their shop is pretty small, but both ladies who were working there (Sandra and I believe Pat) are super nice people and give great cuts. I watched Pat give a gentleman a cut and it looked fantastic! I highly recommend Vintage Barber.”

“The people at Home Instead are just the best! They were able to jump right in with all the care we needed to find at a moment's notice when my dad unexpectedly needed surgery and came home from the hospital needing more help than my mom could handle. He did not want to go into some facility and bringing him home with the great help from Home Instead made it possible to do what my dad wanted. We started with daily care, then 24-hour care and sadly eventually hospice care. We are now continuing with some daily care for my mom. Home Instead really helped - and is still helping - the entire family during this very stressful time. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people and the company. “My husband and I came to see one of their cars and I spoke with Kim earlier on the phone that day to assure the car I wanted was still available before making an unnecessary trip. As soon as we walked in she was there standing by the door to greet us. While she was getting the keys, Charlie was very good at making conversation and make sure we weren't awkwardly standing there. 40 minutes later, we were buying the car! Kim was so helpful and so nice while we were doing the test drive. Her answers were very honest. I really liked that. While we were signing Charlie was the one who did all the paperwork. He already knew what to do with our documents from the bank and I was very happy with how things were flowing. They are such nice people! I would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice reasonable car purchase.”

“I've worked with Eve since 2018, and she has exceeded every expectation I had of a realtor. She's highly capable in every aspect of homebuying; from helping to develop and refine my search, to negotiating effectively for the place I wanted, to connecting me with trusted local contractors to perform remodeling after the purchase. Eve navigated this multi-year long process with patience, grace, and good humor. And I'm sure I wasn't always the easiest client! Eve took a bunch of time above and beyond the search process to help me refine what I was looking for, which was a very particular contemporary look with a number of constraints. She very quickly got a deep sense of my taste and assembled a big list of previous sales and comps to calibrate me on what the possibilities were. This really helped orient me, and was key in helping me hold out for the right place. My search criteria changed a number of times, and Eve was always able to adapt. She offered a ton of advice that was always sage and helpful. Her knowledge of architecture and the Reston scene in particular is amazingly deep; she was an invaluable resource in terms of highlighting neighborhoods and areas I should look at based on my criteria. Her personal network and knowledge of Reston came in handy so often. Whenever a suitable place hit the market, she was immediately on top of it and was ready with a walkthrough. Mind you this was at the height of the pandemic, and she was always happy to do video walkthroughs. I never had any doubt that she would let the right place slip. Eve was always super patient and kind, and always encouraged me to hold out for the right thing. After over a year of searching, we finally found the right place. Eve's keen negotiating skills were crucial; she was very adept at projecting the psychology of the seller and looking out for my interests. I never had any doubt that she would lock down the sale. After I closed on the house, Eve offered a number of design suggestions and referrals to local talent. This ended up being particularly valuable at a time when finding skilled contractors with availability is so hard. She also kindly offered a number of introductions to locals in the area she thought I'd jibe with - she really seems to know everyone in town. If you're looking for a home in northern Virginia, and particularly Reston, I can't recommend Eve enough. I won't work with anyone else. She gets 6 stars out of 5 in my book.”

Their roast pork is outstanding, it had a really fantastic flavor to it and wasn’t like most places where it’s really bland. The fried rice was the best I've had in the area since my old favorite closed. The breading on the chicken tasted really really great it wasn't bland dough around chicken at all. It was cooked perfectly, no raw dough and crispy. Hands down best local Chinese food in Chesapeake by a wide margin out of the maybe 8 restaurants I've tried.”
