“OAmazing school. Great teachers. Great students. We're on of the two top schools in the Vancouver school district in athletics and test scores. Teachers are very supportive and helpful. They will help you with anything if you need it or are confused. Most students are very polite and caring and helpful. One of the only, I think the only school in the VPS district that has two electives. 2 electives create happy students who get to try things that they may not have time to do outside of school. Students get a break to do something fun. Thomas Jefferson really encourages student involvement. Even if your not in a elective, you could still get picked for an activity during a spirit assembly. This is a great school full of students who want to and are willing to learn with the help of teachers that want to help them.”

“Full disclosure, I am friends with an instructor here who’s been encouraging me to take classes. I am not in the shape that I want to be, and I have some injuries so I was hesitant. But every body type seems to be represented here, and modifications are highly encouraged (and celebrated). Classes are hard but I feel so energized and strong after each one I take, I immediately look for the next one that fits my schedule. The instructors make you feel empowered and I got addicted quite quickly. Perhaps the best part though, is how friendly everyone is. The instructors go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and each class I’ve gone to, a classmate has welcomed me with a warm hello and engaged in conversation. Everyone is encouraging and happy to be there. You feel like you are truly part of a community. All ages and fitness levels are welcome here, and I am so grateful I get to take class. Anyone who is hesitant, please come take a class or two. You won’t regret it!”
