“I am very pleased with all the service I have received from Sten and his wife. I was able to try out as many cellos as I wanted in the store with no pressure. I ended up buying a nice cello from them five years ago. I have also had a bow re-haired. They know their instruments, can make adjustments AND are very honest. I actually considered buying a high quality hard cello case from Olsen's and Sten convinced me that not only was it not necessary, but that there were some disadvantaged. I found this amazing! He also referred me to someone else for a bow repair that turned out very well.”

“I appreciate that along with the remodel of the Nordic Museum they put importance on including a quality café to bolster the museum experience. Unfortunately, while Nordic immigrants have a deep history in Seattle, places that serve Nordic foods are few and far between. Freya is a nice addition to Nordic food in the area. They have a small selection of dishes but they are good representation of some of the foods popular in the Nordic countries. I ordered one of the Danish dogs which is their take on a Danish hot dog. I’ve been to Copenhagen and Danish hot dogs are delicious especially with the remoulade and fried onions. Freya Café’s version I believe uses PNW ingredients and combines it nicely with the Danish concept. The Uli’s sausage was tasty and the curry mayo sauce added mellow spice. The pretzel bun rounded out the flavors nicely as well. As a side note, the older gentleman who brought the food out seemed very kind and personable as well. Freya Café is definitely a place I would just visit even if I wasn't going to the museum.”

“After searching the internet and consulting a few places in Seattle to alter my wedding dress, I decided to bring my dress to Jenny and cannot thank her enough for all the great work she did! I found an amazing burgundy red velvet dress that I decided on for our Christmas Eve Wedding. The dress had tiny spaghetti straps and was 2 sizes too big, but Jenny worked her magic and I ended up with a unique and wonderful dress for our fancy Vegas wedding. Jenny was honest and kind when consulting me on the dress and was wonderful throughout the entire process. I came to her with a million ideas and visions to work through and she helped me choose what was best for me at a very reasonable price point. She was especially kind to me during my moments of anxiety and guided me through what she was doing and how she was doing it so that my worries were put to rest. I would rate my experience 4.5 stars, because I wish her workshop had just a little bit more space - at times it was a bit difficult to see the details of the dress while we were pinning and trying different ideas. Other than that, it was a wonderful, quiet space!”

“Woke this morning desiring food that would move me. Walked from my hotel to Primanti Bros. Greeted and Seated by Sadie. Mikaela, my server, came over shortly to introduce herself and take my order. "When Pigs Fly" jumped off the menu at me. I ordered it. It was not long before this beautiful presentation of turkey, ham, bacon, fried egg, provolone cheese, sliced tomato, on the thickest fluffiest freshest bread, was placed in front of me. I had to cut it in half to get it into my mouth. The first bite all the way to the last morsel made me feel like I was floating with the clouds. The manager and creator of this sandwich, Sam, stopped by my table. I told him that every bite was HEAVENLY.”

“I love Distinctive Cabinets. We had a house fire and decided to remodel the kitchen and bathroom - an overwhelming task! Darcy helped me design a new layout, as well as choose cabinets and counter tops. She also made many helpful suggestions about accessories and other materials. My kitchen is absolutely perfect and a reflection of what I like best, and the bathroom is warm and welcoming. She is great to work with. “Great service here, probably the best place in north Seattle to test golf clubs. Even when they're slammed with customers they operate efficiently and with a personal touch. Lots of top tracer stalls, ~$10 for 50 balls or $15 for 100. Testing clubs comes with a tiny bucket of full flight golf balls. However, the normal yellow range balls are in terrible condition. -1 star just for the condition of range balls.”

“I have been a customer at the Sod House bakery since they first opened! Nina and Evan have done incredible things with their delectable baked goods, and incredible coffee and drinks menu. I have tried practically every item they offer and have never been disappointed. My personal favorite from their bakery is the Blueberry Cardamom Kentucky Butter Cake it is my favorite. Other delicious items include the cinnamon roles, their take on pop tarts, great for kids! And the ham and cheese croissant or a breakfast sandwich are both great for a heartier staple. I have since moved away from Seattle, but Everytime I visit the city this is a must-go for me!”
