“I've been seeing Dr. West since 2000. I had to move to L.A. for two years and one of my regrets was having to give up Dr. West. As soon as I moved back to Seattle I immediately signed up to see him. I even talked my husband into seeing him (his PCP before that was Harborview Emergency). Dr. West spends as much time with you as is necessary. However, the thing that impressed me the most and why I have remained so loyal is that Dr. West isn't a "easy fix" kind of guy. His first instinct isn't pills but exercise, proper diet, mental health, etc. However, if medication is necessary he isn't afraid to prescribe it. The best thing I can say about him is that I've sent him several patients over the years and they all equally sing his praises.”

“Dr. Burman sees my husband for a condition that is apparently very common in our age group (early 70's) but little known by those it affects, although it is said to be impacting a "tidal wave" of those in our generation. She is young and at first glance it may be easy to write her off as young and untried, but we have found her to be very knowledgeable, exceptionally patient with our unending questions and need for reassurance. She clearly understands how frightening it is to receive news of the magnitude of this illness and how devastating it is to understand how far it may have progressed before making its presence known as well, and has been very supportive. We have known her for 2 years now and are very comfortable with her judgment, trust her decisions and treatment plan completely, and appreciate not having to go to Seattle VM to see her as she spends one day each week at the VM clinic in Edmonds.
