Autumn's wisdom and experience proved invaluable throughout my labor and delivery. I had arrived at the hospital with possible preeclampsia and they wanted to begin an induction. Autumn helped walk us through our options at every step and ultimately gave us the confidence to be patient. I felt informed and capable to ask for what I needed and was able to avoid Pitocin. When labor began she was by my side, helping find the perfect coping strategies as labor intensified. I was able to have an unmedicated birth and I don't think that would have been possible without Autumn. She helped my husband feel so comfortable and present. I felt safe and strong. Autumn even took some of our most cherished photos as our son was born. All the nurses and my OB commented later about what an incredible Doula, Autumn was. Stay-at-home covid restrictions began right after our son was born and in all the newness of being first-time parents, I felt overwhelmed and alone. Autumn was available in the weeks following our son's birth for questions and support. We've moved out of the Seattle area and are so sad thinking that Autumn won't be at future births! We're so grateful for Autumn and highly recommend Seattle Doula Partners!”
