“I couldn't help but feel I was encroaching as I made my way to the parking lot... very tight squeeze between residential homes. Other than that, there is something quite unique about this little park. I can imagine it being popular during summer. But my curiosity to discover new mushrooms and fungi brought me here in December. Luckily this beautiful little park provided me with a couple new specimens.”

“This park is particularly one of my favorites maybe it's because I live next to it for 6 years or maybe it's because of the people that surround the area. The older crowd and the younger crowd seem to mingle just fine. There are kids of all ages that play. There's wildlife there's toys and there's tons of trails to walk down. Lots of space to throw a barbecue or a party.”

“Thank you Dr Greenberg and staff! My daughter “graduated” from your braces and now has so much more confidence. She lights up the whole room when she walks in. My wife loved the quick and easy visits too! I appreciate you fixing an issue with my teeth. I was in and out of the office in minutes - and it was pain free. So glad that we found you. Thank you again for keeping my family smiling!”

“Lattawood is a spacious little neighborhood park nestled among the houses. A walking area allows for quick laps while kids play on the playground or the halfcourt. There also a shelter for picnicking. Parking is somewhat limited, so walking to the area is encouraged. No facilities either.”

“Nice park. Wheelchair accessible trails through a forest park. Forest is located between a playground and the soccer fields. It is adjacent to the Shoreline pool. There is cedar, madrona and pine. Salal, blackberries, ferns. The sounds of traffic is muffled and one is able to get away.”

“Two places to park so study the map to decide which end of the trails you want to focus on. Woodsy dirt trails go up and down, so bring your walking stick of you like a little help. Lots of ponds keep the wildlife happy (no dogs allowed). Pay $7 PP online or cash in an envelope onsite. A spiritual haven in nature for Buddhists or Celtic/neolithic stoneworks lovers. If that means nothing to you, it's still a nice nature park to hike through.”
Address: 3200 NE Riddell Rd, Bremerton, WA 98310, USA
“Very well maintained trail system. Plenty of parking in a lot, rather than having to park along a side street. At the trail head there are picnic tables. The area is a covered shelter for rainy days. It is important to note that there is not a restroom or honey buckets here. Make sure you've taken care of that need before coming out to the preserve. The trail floor is laid out with plenty of bark, making the ground soft and helps to deter from mud puddles. There are many interconnected loops so you can decide how long you'd like to walk. In addition, trail markers are in red and posted at Y and T sections. You can enjoy gentle uphill slopes and meandering through the old growth trees. This nature preserve is quite a gem. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday mid morning. I spent 2 hours, did a larger loop for a 3 mile walk.”

“I'm hesitant to post about this hidden treasure. It would be sad if it were mistreated. This park/swimming hole deserves to be respected. What a great place to visit. A short drive from Olympia. Great for all ages. Easy to access trails for a baby stroller or wheelchair will take you right down to the water. There is a section for young children and another beach for teenagers and above. The photos I posted were taken during the off-season. My two year old daughter was scared of the water until swimming here. She didn't want to leave. It is a very clean and healthy lake. The water is a little chilly and the deep parts have water plants growing on the bottom are a bit startling at first. But that is normal for a lake. Please come and enjoy with respect to the locals and the wildlife.”
