Howe Farm County Park

Address: 1901 Long Lake Rd SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366, USA

Park

“Howe dog park is amazing! Most folks watch their dogs and pick up the poo but of course there are a few that don’t do either. Another owner also in the off leash area allowed his dog to attack others. My dog would of been one of them he was able to get to us and I managed to pick him up. The dog jumped on me trying to get at my dog. The guy just laughed. Didn’t help. The park itself if beautiful, most people are wonderful and follow the park rules. Those people and their pups make the park a wonderful place to be. For those days and those times we love Howes!”

“Beautiful. Did not stop long but did dip in the water (in late May) which was cold but it is the Northwest after all. Picturesque park. Great for families taking a day trip. I do not think they offer camping here from a sign I saw but I could be wrong. Go see this pretty place.”

Terrace Creek Park

“Nice trail for being in the middle of suburbia. The trail itself is well maintained. Some is paved & some is gravel. There is a nice frisbee golf course as well. The playground area at Candy Cane Park is riddled with trash though. There is a portable toilet near the playground. The parking area is fairly small.”

Lowell Riverfront Trail

Address: Everett, WA 98201, USA

Park

“I went on walks here a lot as a kid and it was just okay, I recently returned and my gosh! They have really taken care of the place. The flora is nicely maintained, the path is a paved trail and crosses many picnic tables and grassy areas. It's not a particularly exciting walk and the view of the river is a little blocked, but if you are just looking for an evening stroll it's a lovely park. There's a lot of families that walk the park too, so it never gets too secluded.”

WDFW Water Access - Martha lake boatlaunch

Address: 16228 E Shore Dr, Lynnwood, WA 98037, United States

“This is a great place to take out your paddle board! There were quite a few people when we came on a Sunday, but it's better than the swimming spot. I highly recommend you come out to Martha lake if your are looking for a good swim spot. You can bring small children, although the parking isn't great. overall a perfect place to spend your afternoon.”

“Amazing Customer Service With a Fast Turnaround Time! I found Engraved-Rock online in my quest to find a rock that could be engraved with a corporate logo, and let me tell you, what an amazing find! Linda was extremely responsive and provided valuable input on how to make our company logo appear on the rock more prominently. She took the time to understand my needs and showed me several examples of their work. The rock was made and shipped within 24 hours of me placing the order. I am extremely pleased to have found Engraved-Rock, a husband & wife team, in my search. They put a lot of care into their work which is reflected in the end result.”

“Very nice pleasant park right in Des Moines. You can hike through beautiful vegetation to warm up ( not even 2 miles) and then enjoy the great view by the Sound. If the tide is low kids can enjoy little crabs and hermit crabs. Wait! They have ice cream, hot dogs and a few other snacks. You can also rent kayaks! Check availability though. The grassy area by the ice cream shop has tables and trees with a shaded area.”

Jasper's Dog Park

“Our favorite dog park! Fully fenced, separate large dog and small dog areas, lots of space for pups to run and play. As mentioned by others: pthere's plenty of street parking (just don't use the lots reserved for nearby businesses), bring your own water, and no bathroom (the nearest public bathroom is the QFC supermarket.)”

Panther Lake Trail

Address: 550 SW Campus Dr, Federal Way, WA 98023, USA

Park

“This is a nice .87 mile loop trail around Panther Lake. It is mostly gravel and packed clay with a few wooden bridges and a short paved section of trail. There is a large parking area and a little outhouse. It is a well protected wetland and it is an aesthetic lake, but difficult to get clear pictures due to vegetation. It is excellent to see that many native plants are obstructing the view though, great for wildlife. A cacophony of Chorus Frogs in mid March. Recommend at least one loop around this little lake.”

Open Water Park

Address: 2351 W Marina Pl, Seattle, WA 98199, USA

Park

“Purchased a Groupon to come on a friend's birthday, one of the best tracks in the bay, some people are super competitive but just do your thing and you'll be fine. You suit up, they clearly explain the rules and you're good to go. Your legs will probably be super sore the next day unless you have calfs of steel so be prepared. Lots of fun for groups & parties.”

“Awesome...lil Jule”

Frank Raab Park

Address: 18349 Caldart Ave NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370, USA

Park

“This park is away from Poulsbo town center and seems to be popular with locals as a place to hang out. There's an off-leash dog park, a small playground for younger kids, green space to play / picnic, picnic shelter with several tables, a community garden area, adequate parking spaces (though not well marked) and a lovely view. We visit Poulsbo several times a year but it's not a park we'd make the effort to visit again, as we found others that had bigger playgrounds with more activities for the kids, so I took away one star.”

Soundview Playfield

Address: 1590 NW 90th St, Seattle, WA 98117, USA

Park

“Visited this park for an outdoor birthday party, in the rain. It was great! The kids rode bikes down the hills, scooters in the tennis courts, and played soccer on the field. The climbing structure is geared towards older kids and was perfect for a group of 11yo. No one cared about the rain!!”

Lake Youngs Trailhead

Address: Renton, WA 98058, USA

“This is a great entrance to the 9.5 mile Lake Youngs trail. There is parking for a couple dozen vehicles and restroom facilities. The trail itself is gravel, wide and well groomed with pleasant scenery surrounding it.”

Hummingbird Hill Park

Address: 1000 Edmonds St, Edmonds, WA 98020, USA

“Very secluded place to visit with family and friends for a family picnic or even just somewhere you can go and read a good book”

Dunn Gardens

Address: 13533 Northshire Rd NW, Seattle, WA 98177, USA

Park

“A lovely garden to visit right in the middle of a Seattle housing development. We visited the day before the docent tours started, but it allowed us to stroll around the grounds on our own and just take in the beauty. Not a tremendously large garden, but it has a lot to take in. We probably spent about 30-45 minutes following the roads and small trails. Looks like it would be a great place to host private events. Would love to be able to see what's blooming at each season. You should visit.”

Wetlands Boardwalk Trailhead

Address: NW, 413 Western St, Auburn, WA 98001, USA

Park

“Bummed the stairs are gone for the upper lookout. There are a few boards that need fixed on the path. Other than that we enjoy stopping here when we can.”

Point Defiance Rose Garden

Address: 5400 N Pearl St, Tacoma, WA 98407, USA

“Beautiful garden with multiple trails. A really nice gazebo to sit and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Their selection of plants for sale was really nice. Perfect for anyone wanting to introduce some new plants to their garden.”

Old Fishing Hole

Address: 24945 Frager Rd, Kent, WA 98032, USA

Park

“Always a great time spent here. Quiet place to relax after walking the trail. The trail is wide, flat and perfect for biking, walking and roller blading. The wildlife can be abundant at times and there are 2 families of eagles which you can enjoy seeing most days. A lot of parking and only steps from trail. Also handicap accessible.”

Jackson Park P-Patch Community Gardens

Address: 13049 10th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125, USA

Park

“One nice hidden little p patch on the border of Jackson golf course. Enjoy the flowers and fruits, but don't give in to temptation, leave them for the gardeners to harvest themselves. I say if a garden is left attended for a length of time, then gleening is ok. But that's only what I say.”
