Although you can hear traffic from I-205, it for me, turns into "white noise". The structures are engaging for kids, offering balance and strength challenges. There is a restroom. There are horseshoe pits, covered group area with barbeques, large green expanses for group ball or net sports.”

“This is a beautiful area, especially if you just want to get deep into the woods and hear some peace and quiet. The mountain itself is not for the faint of heart. It's a serious hike, so come with adequate water for about 2-3 hours of continuous moderately strenuous exercise. I advise bringing bear spray, or otherwise carrying a defensive weapon. There are absolutely bears on this mountain.”

She also answers your questions well and doesn't make you feel silly for asking them. I tried some closer to home but for now, driving the hour and a half to take my kids to her is my decision.
