Indian Lake County Park

This place is amazing. Don’t be taken back by the amount of cars in the parking lot because there is ample parking and tons of places to get away. There were probably 100 people at the park and we only encountered 1 other group due to how large it is. The fall colors here are also amazing here!

I wanted to go for a bit of easy hiking and hadn't been here before, it's definitely worth the (short from Madison) trip! There's a lovely little chapel on a hill with a gorgeous view of the lake and then several trails of varying lengths that wind their way along the edge of the lake and another hill next to it.

One of my favorite parks. Highly recommend! Beautiful loop hike around the lake, around 2 miles or so. Especially beautiful in the spring, summer and fall with all the beautiful colors. Peaceful place.

Small but very beautiful lake. 2 miles loop around. Park has two entrances, one is a dog park and another with shelter and bathroom house. It was wedding there, so it is reservable for events.

My dog Suki @sukiyakishiba & I love coming here for the beautiful views. The dog friendly area is great to let your dog be off leash. If you decide to take your dog to the rest of the park for a hike, be aware dogs must be leashed. The best time to go is during the week as not many people tend to be there.
