  My fiancée and I lived here for 3 years. Cliff and Theresa, who manage the property, were super great to work with. Very genuine and authentic, as well as responsive to concerns. Larry, who does maintenance, always made any repairs in a timely manner. They were miles ahead in terms of customer service compared to many other management companies I have rented from in the past.
  
  The location is great. It is located across the street from a mall, Target, and grocery store. There are also restaurants near by, and Chipotle and McDonald’s basically in your front lawn. It is a quick commute to UW Hospital via car (5 minutes) and right on the bike path if you prefer that route (10 minutes).
  
  The apartments themselves are probably some of the nicest in Madison. Ours was brand new when we moved in. They have stainless steel appliances, central air, and in unit washer/dryers which was incredibly convenient. We hardly ever heard noise from adjacent apartments. Most of the tenants are adults, families, or graduate students, which provides for a much quieter and relaxed atmosphere.
  
  There are also community rooms, which you can rent for events for free, or just use as a place to watch TV, play pool, or study. One of the spaces is a large outdoor patio with fire pits and grills. There is a small gym with ample equipment for a quick workout, as well as underground parking and storage if you are interested. All of the public these spaces are kept very clean.
  
  You are also a member of of the Shorewood hills community, which gives you access to their swimming pool. This is probably the safest neighborhood in Madison and is known to have a strong school district.
  
  We really don’t have anything negative to say about our experience as tenants at The Lodge and would highly recommend them.

  The Lodge at Walnut Grove is great! My parents have lived there for just over 3 years and it's been a home away from home. The people in the leasing office have been so easy and great to work with. We toured the place and signed the lease soon after. Great people, great location and great apartments.

  Great place to live! We were here for a year from 2016-2017 and loved it. Great amenities, great maintenance, and the fellow residents were nice. Cliff and Theresa were amazing!

  I absolutely loved staying here. The apartment complex is well cared for and the location is absolutely terrific. I moved to Madison from out of state so I had one weekend to find a new home. Cliff was informative and offered good suggestions that I signed a year lease after the tour! The apartment complex is quiet and maintenance is great! The snow removal was great! The quick commute to Hilldale shopping center and UW Hospital was convenient. It was always nice to see Theresa (property manager). Everything about The Lodge at Walnut Grove is great and I was sad to leave for work relocation.

  One of the best apartments I've ever lived at, hands down. Always had that special feeling of calling it a home. Great amenities and community spaces, though I wish there was a swimming pool. The views from the golf course (literally in the backyard) are breathtaking! Theresa is a great manager, she was always very helpful and kind to everyone.
