“This is easily one of the best facilities overall in North America if you wish to participate in a clinical trial as a healthy volunteer. The halls, bathrooms, and common areas are cleaned twice a day, all of the meals are brought in by a local catering company and the the portions are quite plentiful, and the the overwhelming majority of the staff is compassionate, warm, and kind. There is public transportation available from both Milwaukee and Chicago to arrive in town and be a long walk or a quick Uber/Lyft away from the facility. Local busses also run with some regularity, and the nearest stop is less than a five minute walk from the doors of the research unit. I have personally only experienced positive experiences while an inpatient at the unit and observed fair interactions between the staff and the other participants. If your urine is clean and your bloodwork is acceptable, I would suggest making the trek out to the tundra in Wisconsin to see for yourself.”
