  We were just off a commute across the waters to Wisconsin and thought we would enjoy trying some local cuisine. After conducting a bit of research, and being right in the area, we found this gem of a place to eat. It was a true pleasure to experience this dining in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood, near the shores of Lake Michigan. As their website says, “Goodkind is the new epoch in a long, rich history!”
  
  Being mid-day, we found two spots open at the bar. The staff was super friendly and we were thankful to have followed their recommendations, as well as the couple sitting next to us. Our orders came quickly and were so visually appealing. Being someone who loves herbs and fresh vegetables, the food was above our expectations.
  
  The restaurant blends old-world dining concepts and creates an excellent menu of the old and the new custom entrees. Located inside a residential area with a mix of shopping experiences, Goodkind sat on the corner with diners chatting outside on a small but happy eating out-doors space. Most everyone seemed to be enjoying a house-made cocktail. The Tickety-Boo with Grapefruit flavors was amazing.
  
  Piles of tempting-looking plates of pasta were coming out of the kitchen and tables near us – obviously a favorite. But I was thankful that I had already ordered the local veggies and mixed seafood soup. The oysters had simmered in a broth that thrilled us with flavor.
  
  The place was busy; we recommend that you plan ahead as it seems that the local community highly favors this place and seating is limited. We only wish it wasn’t so far from the Twin Cities or we’d frequent it more often.

  This is my favorite Milwaukee date night restaurant! Perfectly sized portions. The menu is always changing, making it exciting to come back. The pastas are always my favorite and the oysters are always fresh. Open late and located in a great neighborhood!

  I got the ribeye steak and it was delicious. Lots of vegan options here as well if that's your thing. Pricey but tasty. Loved the atmosphere.

  The best meal I've had so far in Milwaukee. Good menu, very friendly and professional staff. We sat at the bar and had an amazing view of the place and a great experience. the wines are reasonably priced and I think it's not only delicious food but a great value.

  After 10pn, We was in search of a place to grab a bite. This establishment's kitchen is open until 1am daily. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who was alwaybclose by when we had a request. There is a nice selection of beer and wines here. The small plates were delicious. There was a generous amount of calamari. The cheese and cod plates were not as generous, yet still delicious.
