“Really nice pathway, wide sidewalk (perfect for wheelchair or aide scooter and lots of benches to sit and look out at the lake, also tons of off beat paths (very cool) and if you keep walking you'll pass a pond with people of all ages are fishing and beyond the pond is the water park. Its a great area, get out and see for yourself, you'll be glad you did”

“Went to the pool here recently. Pool and locker rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were nice and welcoming. We didn't get to spend time in the park so I cannot comment on it.”

“Nice little park. Less crowded. Open baseball field. Not wheelchair accessible but not every single park has to have that feature...just noting that for anyone that may be pertinent to.”

“A nice paved path around the lake for easy walking, with some side trails that the kids and the dog likes to explore! A dock to fish off of and a play ground to play on makes this a nice spot to chill with the kids. Come and enjoy.”

“The gardens are beautiful, well organized and educational. They are connected by walking paths which lead to formal gardens that include a Rose and Herb garden. I loved the Herb garden with signage that explained the benefits of each herb. There is a trellised walk way and a rock garden with a small waterfall. The visitor center has a wonderful gift shop and consultants that will help you and answer questions about your gardening. There are restrooms in the visitor center and near the herb garden and there is plenty of parking.”

“I've been going to Whitnall Park ever since I was a little kid. This park has amazingly beautiful gardens, according to various plant species, with creatively designed landscapes, walkways, rolling hills, tall pines, spacious picnic areas and a long, winding pathway of roads for driving, biking, walking, etc. There's an excellent gift shop with local artistry for sale and a hall available for weddings. I highly recommended Whitnall Park for everyone to enjoy!”

“Its a cool walkway that lead to a small waterfall. Very cool find. Enjoyed watching the tadpoles along the waters edge and walking the trail. The water runs very fast by the waterfall, and the trail was very muddy in that area from the rain earlier.”

“It's not a "park" in the traditional sense, but it I spent my childhood in here and it is, in fact, a park. There is the "roller coaster" where you can do an Evil Kneivel style jump, there are the dinosaur eggs (large massive stones in a huge pit - we never figured out how they got there), there are rolling hills for walking or biking. If you are in the area, take a walk through and know that a lot of kids in the 1970's spent time on every inch of this forest. Many happy memories.”

“Great place for a family reunion. Electrical outlets, lights if it gets dark, restrooms, a playground, plenty of picnic tables! Plenty of green space to play games, including a large field for soccer! Plenty of space for lawn games, lots of shade too! Park workers come by to check if they need to add toilet paper or change garbage bags, they're very nice. And of course it's walking distance to the beer garden! Included is a pic of the baby deer watching the party!”

“Great morning hike and I even saw a Coyote which is super rare! It's the first time I've ever seen one in the area and I frequent this park. Take the long way if you really want to enjoy it. The gravel track around the lake is nice but the best views are through the whole park. Over the years the trail has become better marked and easier to follow. The only downside is the trail can get muddy in a few spots when conditions are wet and people don't pick up their dog poop a lot. Otherwise I love Grobschmidt!”

“Wonderful nature park covering over 200 acres. There are 5 miles of hiking trails which will take you through different habitat areas like wetlands and wooded areas. A stop at the visitor center will answer your questions on the plants and animals that inhabit the area. There is a small fee for parking, restrooms at the visitor center and an ampthetheater where talks are given.”
