Willowood Inn

Southwest room was amazing. Very clean. Family friendly. Cozy. Home away from home. Great selection of games, puzzles, and movies. Friendly and accommodating host. Great location for Devil’s Lake and Baraboo. Will go back next time in town.

This place is excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful, and go the extra mile if you need something. The rooms are comfortable and clean. (Also, the water pressure and temperature in the shower was consistent—WAY better than most “5-star” hotels we’ve been to.)

Additionally, the office doubled as a continental breakfast dining area and sitting room. When I had to catch up on some work, it was the perfect space to do so without feeling like I was getting underfoot.

We will 100% be staying here again, couldn’t recommend it highly enough!!

Added note: about 30 minutes after posting this review, the owner stopped by with a complimentary New Year’s Eve celebration kit, complete with a mini bottle of bubbly. This was a particularly kind gesture, because our original plans had been cancelled due to illness and we are from out-of-state. It gave us a way to celebrate on our own and made us feel very, very welcome. A lovely gesture!!

WEDDING/FREQUENT STAYER
If I could give a 100 stars out of 10 I sooo would! We’ve been staying at willowood for our anniversary every year for 4 years now. We got engaged 2 years ago at devils lake while staying here so it only felt right to have our wedding here as well! Best decision ever! Angie did above and beyond what we expected and all the staff was amazing as well! We had our whole wedding party and other family and friends stay the weekend and everyone fell in love just like we did! Willowood is not just another hotel it’s feels more like that cozy family cabin stay! Safe to say alot of our friends and family will be adding it to their next getaway stays. We had the best time and thank the willowood family for making our day the best! We will definitely be returning for many new anniversaries! -The Johnsons

This place was quaint and perfect for our stay. We had an electrical problem in our room and hot water issue to which the Service desk apologized and generously discounted our stay. The bed was cozy and the hospitality was fantastic. It's very close to Devil's Lake and just a charming place to stay.
