“A nice little park. The dog loves walking around and looking for bunnies. The trails are nicely mowed, although this year the trails through the woods seemed neglected. Lots of geese, ducks, rabbits, and the occasional heron.”

“My favorite place in the world. Have been coming here since I was a little kid. My kids and the rest of my family love it. Trips to Brown's Lake are a family tradition. Sometimes it gets a bit over crowded but otherwise it's a great place.”

“Nice beach. People at the park were all very well behaved and family orientated. Only issue is the piers get clogged up with boater leaving their boats docked unattended. Left little room, at times, for boaters launching or trailering their boats.”

“Beautiful hardwood preserve, with a loop road running around the perimeter, connecting a half dozen secluded picnic grounds, as well as a small camp ground. Through the center of the preserve, run a web of trails, allowing for one to truly disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Great to visit anytime of year, parking lot is usually open, ring road is closed in winter.”

“My favorite park to take my dog. You have concrete paths or you can go into the wooded dirt paths. Also a dog park and free wifi in spots. Plenty of activities for kids, pets, and adults. There is a golf course located here as well. Just go. Highly recommend for anyone!”

“A quiet trail that is usually well maintained. In the summer the underbrush is often cut back to make the trail a little cleaner. The intersection where the trail crosses the roundabout near the high school is very safe and has flashing lights to warn drivers of pedestrians. My one complaint is that people often litter along the trail. There is an empty bag of cat food in the bushes on the trail and lots of soda cups and candy wrappers.”

“I have been coming to Hawthorn Hollow since I was a kid with my family to go on walks and look at the historic buildings and I recently had my wedding ceremony there. I was touched by the amount of effort that Sarah went to in trying to make my wedding the best it could possibly be. She went above and beyond making it so every situation would be covered - rain or shine - and played a large part in my day being so special! I highly recommend having events here and taking advantage of the beautiful location!”

“Nice dog park. 2 different areas. One for bigger dogs, one for smaller ones. Agility stuff available to use. Not the biggest but plently big enough to wear out your puppy.”
