We went with a naked cake and she was kind enough to decorate the cake for us beautifully to match my inspiration picture. It was beyond my expectations. “Like it’s name, this place is all about cupcakes, it’s a cupcake heaven. They have 40 different creative cupcake flavors, in three different sizes, including gluten free ones. An excellent item to have at kids birthday party. It is a good location to just walk in, and get bunch of cupcakes for a party. I bought 50 of their cupcakes for $140, each costing less than $3, very reasonable price. Aside from cupcakes, they also make birthday cakes, and sell birthday party accessories. The only thing bothered me, they don’t have any sort of bags at the store. So, when I had to walk out with 4 boxes of cupcakes, I had bring in my own large bags. Luckily I had bags that fit the cupcake boxes.”

The homemade ice cream is incredible, their pastries (both sweet and savory kinds) pies/cakes and cookies are all out of this world. They are constantly coming up with new ice cream flavors and you are able to buy pints to bring home. They also offer special ice cream pies and cakes for all sorts of holidays all year long. The very Pleasant Staff here is knowledgeable about all the breads and pastries, and have even taught me a few words of German! This Shop is located In Swanson’s Ivanhoe Row, which includes an Art Gallery, Custom Jeweler, Woman's Clothing shop, Men's clothing shop, Wine shop, Beauty Shop, Specialty Stationary/Gift shop, and a new Kombucha Brewery. I come on most Saturdays and enjoy strolling along this stretch of The City Beautiful, it's really a "Hidden Gem"! UPDATE: They've moved to a new location. I've got to go visit them there!”

After another bakery in town (who shall remain nameless!) closed its doors after I placed my order without letting me know, I was driving to another local bakery hoping for a miracle. With 24 hours notice, the second bakery said there was "no way" they could help us. We drove to the close-by Le Gourmet that we had noticed on our drive and the owner literally dropped what she was doing to assist this panicky bride before her engagement party to place my order and assure me she'd have the cookies in time for my evening party the next day. To say I was relieved and grateful was an understatement. Not only did Le Gourmet save the day by fulfilling our last minute order, but the shortbread cookies were SO phenomenal, there was not a SINGLE cookie left over! They were such a special, personalized part of our night. I'll never forget their hospitality. We WILL be back for years to come!”
