“Where do I start? It was raining throughout the day. You see, that's bad news here in socal, because these folks struggle to drive. They swear it's an oil slicked roadway. Anyway, it was raining, I was a bit early to mens Wednesday night bible study (FBC, SBD.) and I wanted to treat the guys. This was the 3rd donut store I visited, the other 2 were half stocked and nothing looked fresh. On my final attempt I tried manna's. SO GLAD I DID. Not only were the fresh, the varieties seemed endless. The donuts didn't stand a chance back at church, we tore then up. ALL flavors were spot on, donut textures were consistent, we enjoyed them greatly. Thank You manna.”

“Boudan kolache and poboy are amazing here. However, it also depends on who is in that day. The person who we think is the owner and his wife do a great job... however we had stopped going a while back because the person who was cooking it was under cooking it and the bread would be soggy. However, I think they let that person go because we recently started going again and only see the owner and who we believe to be his wife... and have since quality is back to being perfect”

After a very short wait I was brought 2 steaming hot croissants and I also purchased 2 glazed doughnuts. I wish I'd purchased more croissants. “We have been going to Charlie for cheesecakes for more than 10 years. Our kids love his cheesecake more than mine and getting one to celebrate birthdays became a family tradition. His cookie crust is so good! The cheesecake is delicious- it’s the real deal. Charlie is always happy and interesting to talk to- always glad to see you and share some interesting info. We are leaving the Bay Area and this is one of the places we will definitely be stopping by to pick some up when we travel through again.”

In both cases, I had the florist provide some flowers and Nermana did a wonderful job of adding them to the cake. Both of the couples I worked with were so happy with their cakes and the guests loved them as well. Nermana also provide these beautiful cookies as favors for one of the weddings and they turned out so cute! I will definitely be using Nermana and Sweetart Creative Baking again.”
