“Wake the Dead is not a coffee shop. It's a coffee experience. The atmosphere and general vibe boasts a place to come for a casual lounge experience while getting some top notch caffeine. I visited Wake the Dead, while visiting Texas for the first time. My hosts couldn't say more about how much they loved this local staple. The goth/punk, macabre decoration is a delight. And there's artwork all over from real artists that are available to purchase. They also apparently host events and are integrated into the local community. As a New Yorker in San Marcos for the first time, I was really really impressed. I was made a half chai half matcha latte and it was easily in my top three experiences while visiting the state. Next time I'm in Texas, I would love to just hang out there in the evening, sipping on a glass of wine (which they also sell. Again. But lounge vibes. And I love it) And the people who work there are friendly, kind and diligent. Several weeks after the fact, I called to purchase one of the prints I'd seen on the wall. Whoever was managing their Instagram account helped me track down the artist and got me what I needed. It was the easiest thing Id ever done across state lines. I really Appreciated every aspect of my Wake The Dead experience.”

They have a high-quality menu with fresh ingredients. The Cobb salad was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3 to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The beer and wine selection is local and they have a full service bar. I would recommend the restaurant have live music on the patio. It would being in customers and they would stay longer. This would be a great Happy Hour date spot. “First time stopping by Selland’s Market all Dorado Hills location. Have eaten at the H St location many times are over the years and are big fans of the Broadway location. We used to go to the original Kitchen back in the day on special locations. Today we had just attended the baptism of a friends baby girl and decided to stop for an early dinner. We found a nice table outside in the sun and sampled several items from their diverse menu to include the carrot ginger soup, goat cheese and apple greens salad with chicken, Mac and Cheese, Greek salad with feta, meatloaf sandwich with cheddar cheese, salted caramel cookies and a chocolate chip brownie cookie washed down with cold, crisp pale ale. The Goddess loved her soup and salad. The meatloaf was tasty as ever. My favorite was the incredible salted caramel cookies and the cold beer!”

“These young girls know how to make a coffee, better than any coffee shops around. They are all very friendly, and sweet. Something that I have found at every other coffee shop, is burnt coffee. Which is undrinkable, and a waiste of money when you get a coffee like that. At Cowboy Coffee these girls have obviously been taught the correct way to make coffee, they DO NOT burn there coffee. The only downside we see is that the time for food can sometimes take a little longer BUT that’s because they have quite a bit of customers and orders. I would already recommend getting another chef to help out in the kitchen. however, it is well worth the wait time. **Old** I like eating Thai food. This is a very reasonable Thai restaurant. I have tried many dishes so far and they were all great. This is will a normal spot for me for casual Thai dining. I do wish they have some other Thai appetizers though.”
