“Obsessed! I was skeptical at first about trying a coffee shop in a train station, normally those aren’t good. But this was an amazing experience. Not only are the staff extremely friendly, but this has to have been the best hojicha latte I’ve ever had. We got there at around 12 and the pastry selection was pretty much done which was disappointing, but we still managed to get a cookie and a bagel with cream cheese. Both were delicious. We didn’t know it was pumpernickel bagel which I hateeeee but we could hardly taste the pumpernickel here. Highly recommend! I thought being near the train it would be noisy but it wasn’t! Can’t wait to go back!”

“I've been to a lot of Starbucks and none can ever get so busy all at once like in Big Bear. Its cold in winter so people want more warm drinks. The staff at Starbucks bog bear deal with the nastiest and coldest customers in California maybe. Some weeks it doesn't slow down. Busy days here and there elsewhere but here it goes for weeks. No slow periods just the next customer. Fortunately it does. Still always very great service and great attitudes.”

My husband tried the Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha (with almond milk) and I had the Spicy Mexican Mocha (with oat milk) which includes cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Always my favorite drink and I can rarely find it! The owner welcomes you in with such warm hospitality and is an absolute delight, the vibe is so quaint and a perfect chill spot. “My husband and I were driving back to Sacramento airport from Lake Tahoe and took a detour ending up on route 49. Looking to kill some time, we stopped at the Tin Roof tasting room which we found beyond enchanting. Our expectations were not high based on the modest storefront but we entered into an oenophile oasis! We left feeling overwhelmed with the quality of the wine, the knowledge and charm of the host and the eclectic clientele. This is a must stop when driving on Highway 49. We will be back!”

They offer different pastry options which look good although I’m not into cookie dough. My only complaint, which is a massive complaint, is the to-go cups they serve hot coffee drinks in is made of styrofoam which leech toxic chemicals in our steaming hot beverages! Please for the sake of your customers health and well being switch to paper cups!! Other than that it has everything a coffee shop should offer.”
