“After receiving multiple bids, I decided to take my truck to Macias. I had significant damage to the front end of my truck, the passenger door and side because of hitting a deer. Sergio provided me with a quote within minutes. He was professional and courteous. I immediately felt that my truck was in good hands. As promised, four days later, my truck was complete. It looked better than I could’ve imagined. Not only did they fix the multiple problems, but they also detailed my truck, vacuumed it, and took it to a car wash. “Update: the transmission held up great a year and several thousand miles later until we sold the truck. It handled towing a large uhaul trailer cross country, and several other towing trips without issue. Shifted better than ever until the day I sold it. However, I did find out that the rear main seal (which is exposed when pulling a transmission) began to leak literally the day I sold it, came home to a puddle of oil where it had been parked. I can’t say for sure if they replaced it wrong - it’s an older truck and I was using high mileage oils which swell seals to reduce leaks. So it could be from age, bad oil, bad luck, or a bad install and I can’t say for sure. Still, i had a good experience and trust that if i was still local they would have taken a look at it. Jeremey and John were awesome. They were able to give me a estimate for my vehicle over the phone that was pretty accurate. It was half the cost of the dealer quote, with a comparable warranty to boot. My 2006 GMC truck was done a week early - they work on so many of their transmissions that they even had the parts on hand. They even put in a few upgrades to prevent any more issues down the line and no additional cost. Don’t be put off by the shade-tree-mechanic look of their shop when you pull in - these guys know their stuff and are super passionate about their work.”
