He joined her in 2010. The grounds are always beautifully maintained and the staff is pleasant and helpful. Every experience Ive had here has been a good one.”

“My Father , Ellison Jackson Johnson, served in the Marine Corps and On March 14 at 3 PM 1959 shot himself in the head with a target pistol. I was 5 years old. My Mom hid how he died from me until a few years ago. When I found his grave there, his headstone is down on the back fence section 8 jammed in next to 3 others. It has been sinking over these years and I had requested that something be done and got no reply. From the entrance If you turn left then left toward section 8 you will find "The branch with the black water", It is full of trash and debris. It has gotten worse each time that we come visit his grave. Why is there not a group to clean up this toxic waterway? Or Why can't the incarcerated clean up that branch?Why can't your company raise the markers so that they don't sink away. Thanks, (I'm sorry that I can't give you a better review but I can see that my Father's marker isn't the only one ) He has served this country, and was born and raised in Alabama and worked there at Hayes Aircraft many years. He lived on the Southside (the UAB campus is built on the property that his house sat on). 2/20/2019- This is my New Review I am changing it to 5 Stars with Mr R Shoemakers assurance that there is going to be an updated clean up in the near future of the water way and fence line on the Veterans side of the graveyard. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to him and his crew that raised my Father's marker. It will make my future visits so less hurtful.CJH Feb 20th 2019.Thanks again God Bless”
