“I have been to many different dentists and have had horrible experiences at every single one. Pryor Family Dentistry is the BEST dentist office you will find!!! They have been so kind to me and I knew after my first appointment I had finally found the right dentist for me. I got quite a bit of work done and they made sure I was comfortable the entire time and even covered me up with a blanket and played music. I cannot say enough good things about this place and for once I don’t have anxiety about going back to get the rest of my work done. “I was in disbelief when Dr. Kumar suggested that I would need braces again...twenty years after the first time. I had a structural issue, one in which I could barely open my jaw to eat. I dreaded the thought of surgery. Thankfully, Dr. Kumar was confident that he could resolve my pain through orthodontics. I am in my final stages of treatment and I am convinced Dr. Kumar has magical super powers. He is highly regarded in the field and I couldn’t possibly recommend him and his team more.”

His staff was very helpful and they are not like the other dental offices where they do not check the eligibility of the insurance co. They was able to tell me my benefits. “I've been around the track by constantly changing dentists throughout my life and definitely found one that cares about not putting me through extra unnecessary pain. Options are extremely key in a delicate business where there's a balance of preserving a patient's image while staying focused on overall long term health. Josiah is highly skilled at making the financial part balance out at the end without being overly pushy about getting payment on the spot. A true sign that the cost part of the equation is secondary to being actually physically cared about. I'm personally extremely sensitive to feeling pain while sitting completely still in a chair but the dentist, hygienists, and assistants were all very focused on making sure I was comfortable with a professional demeanor and approach. It's very simple to make an individual who isn't comfortable feel more uncomfortable by making too many jokes during the entire process but that was definitely not my experience here. In summation, they have me as a returning patient....they win! :)”

“I highly recommend Dr. Saju Matthew of Hudson River Orthodontics. My daughter had a really challenging set of teeth when the permanent teeth started coming out, as well as a jaw that was too narrow to accommodate a whole set of teeth. She was referred to Dr. Matthew by her dentist, Dr. Jed Best and Dr. Jerry Ashrafi when she was 7 years as they both felt we should not delay. The crowding was so intense (three permanent teeth in her gums, positioned one on top of the other) that Dr. Mathew was not sure and told me privately that at a later stage he may have to remove permanent teeth to straighten her teeth out…he said that he hoped with his treatment the jaw would expand, but there were no guarantees. He was glad that I had come early. The way he described it to me…just like the center of the head in a new born baby’s skull is not fully sealed until they are around two, similarly, the cartilage of the jaw and palate are soft and can be stretched a bit until around 10-11 years. Long story short…the process of expanding her jaw and palate and then straightening her teeth took many years and was an involved process with Dr. Matthew doing an amazing job as well as preparing my daughter for the different stages so she could take the steps he needed her to on a daily basis. She also did not need to loose any of her permanent teeth during the process. I cannot describe how challenging a feat Dr. Matthew achieved with her. Today, seven years down the line at age 14, she has a beautiful set of teeth and is in the last stages of her treatment where she uses a retainer every night to ensure that her teeth stay in place. I highly in recommend Dr. Matthew as he is a gifted orthodontist and has a great bedside manner with the kids. He is reasonable and timely with his appointments. After I started my daughter’s treatment with him, I found other kids from my daughter’s school also went to him and were extremely satisfied.”
