“This was my first experience at Shaker Violin. Steve was exceedingly generous and helpful and repaired my father’s cello. It was immediately obvious that Steve is very passionate about his work and took time to explain the reason he picked a certain method and tools for the repair to be done. As a bonus Steve took interest in a possible fix for cracks in my classical guitar and invited my to bring the instrument over. After assessing the nature of the crack I agreed with his suggestion to stabilize the crack. Needless to say I highly recommend Steve for any violin/cello repair. He far exceeded my expectations! “I ended up cracking the screen on my work computer ( A Mac Book Pro). I gave them a call and they were really nice and told me to stop on by to assess the damage. When I got there, I headed right on in and they took really good care of me. I’m not super knowledgeable with Apple but they walked me through everything and were very professional the entire time. Turns out it was under apple care and they had the screen in store to do the full replacement. I was notified a couple hours THAT SAME DAY that the repair was complete. Total life savers!
